The OP is very well respected around here... you have been here for less than a year but calling him names

magic111... the OP is legit and he is very well respected as thelead said.. also NO ONE (or the majority) is happy about this trade... go back and read some these posts (with all due respect) ... this deal is :-? ...unless we somehow flip some of these players for better players.

Parsons started the session we watched by getting up some catch and shoot threes from behind the NBA line.

Thanks for sharing Orange.

If we're trying to win a title post-Dwight, Him playing in the east becomes a road block. Gotta send him out west. Now, if this is accurate, and we get Martin to be our starting SG, what happens to JRich?

This Sucks!

If that other guy is Shaq than yes it does. I really dont want the tin man at center who can blow his up his career with one hard foul or one wrong move and the knee is gone

Agreed.

Keep in mind though, we're not trading a locked up, happy Dwight. We're trading a disgruntled guy at the end of his contract who is EXTREMELY picky as to where he signs..... It certainly can be worse.

Yea but i think it could still be better i would rather do NJ deal at least gives us a chance of getting Davis however slim plus some decent returns. With luck we can flip Lopez and Anderson for another pick or two or young talent. Have alot of picks and can go from there. To contend now a days you need a superstar with alot of talent around him this at least gives us a chance
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Orange Ave. wrote:I'll dispense with all the qualifiers about sources and whatnot. I hope people here remember I don't post junk or speculation.

I'll just say that I spoke to a player this weekend in town for All-Star weekend.

His agent told him to prepare for a trade. The big pieces looked like this: (hold your breath)

Chandler Parsons, Kevin Martin, and Andrew Bynum to Orlando.

Dwight to L.A.

...nothing else was known to him except everything I just said. The player I talked to was one of the above named players.

obviously, many pieces are missing. TAKE IT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH. This DID come from the players mouth. I have to believe him when he says his agent told him to prepare for that.

Will it happen? I dunno. But there you go.

Any chance that you could make something nice up for us to hope for? Not quite feeling the realism here :)

Interesting. Hate to sound like a skeptic but what reason do we have to believe the OP other than the fact that he is a long time member?

What's even worse is I bet the Lakers also get Luis Scola in the trade.

Re: Anthony Davis. He's hot garbage. He will not translate well into the NBA. I think my dog has thicker arms than him. He's succeeding at the NCAA level because he's just so much longer. But how's he going to get post position against STRONG nba centers? He'll be Hasheem Thabeet with a few more points a night offensively.

No way we get a pick that high anyway. But there's some solid talent in the 10-15 pick range. We'll see. This season is a complete ambiguity. If we have to trade away Dwight, we've put ourselves in a position to get nothing more than a mid-level pick even if we tank the rest of the season. Of Dwight's teams he listed, none would give us a really good pick either...

Has this Orange Ave, EVER break any trade news before??? If he has then believe him, other wise I can care less, if he is a long time member, that does not mean **** to me, to be honest.

He has made other claims and been right... I think he called the Gilbert trade a day or two before it happened (before any of us were even thinking it was going to happen). He's also made mention to many other (minor) things that have been correct. I know he hasn't posted on here in quite a while it seems... but he's just one of those posters I respect a lot on here... and when he says something, I listen.

what I said from Speculation thread:
DJRajX wrote:If it was any other person but Orange... I wouldn't be worried...

...but the fact that Orange Ave mentioned this (someone we all have a lot of respect for on this forum and who is legit with his sources) rumor is getting me really really anxious... I DO NOT LIKE THIS DEAL ONE BIT... unless you're planning on flipping K-Mart for someone like Ellis or someone better... screw this deal

If this trade goes down, Otis should be fired on the spot

Arenas was definitely expected to happen a few days before the trade went down. I remember Otis Smith being asked about it after a practice and he confirmed it. Later that day or the next day it happened.

Hey, at the end of the day whether you want to believe him or not... I think you and I (and many others) can both agree that we don't want this trade to happen... at all :noway:

Brother, you're upset because you don't like the trade. I'm not as negative about it depending on many other missing details, but that's beside your point. I didn't hear it from a GM, and that's about the only person who's word becomes reality. I had a player tell me what his agent told him. How can I keep that from the Magic GM'ers? I don't report on what trainer's or ballboys or my cousin's nephew speculate about. I've had more than one conversation with Bo Outlaw about what he thinks is going to happen, but who cares? It's Bo Outlaw. I doubt they tell him anything.

I've given you the source and what was said, nothing more, nothing less, that much is gospel. Take in what he said, analyze it, and either hope that trade happens or hope that another one shakes out.

If you know anything, you should know GM's like to posture and pit one another against each other to drive up bids.

Eh, Parsons and Martin both played big minutes tonight... if a trade was imminent, I don't think they would have. Then again, Martin shot 3-15 so maybe something is on his mind... :p

I will not spend another dollar on this team until all management is gone if we trade for KMart (including Martins for approving this).
