-Dwight was almost dealt to NJ before the season started
-Numerous reports have said Devos doesn't want to rebuild and wants to keep ORL a contender
-Martins continues to talk to Dwight and says positive things about the convo
-We've been publicaly linked by reputable reporters to Monta Ellis, Josh Smith, Steve Nash, and if I'm missing anybody, I apologize over the past year
-We don't want Daniel Orton
-Otis keeps saying 50/50, which is the new "I like this team"
-Otis will most likely be fired after this season or "let go" since I believe his contract is up
-Hedo is reportedly being tossed around to teams, but teams want 1st round picks back
-Denton, who is a talking head for the Magic..but arguably the closest expects this team to be the same after the 16th
-We can let Dwight walk ala Cleveland, but that would go against the rebuilding theory that Devos doesn't want

All in all, absolutely nothing adds up or is consistent. I honestly have no clue what to believe, expect, or imagine anymore.

don't forget rumors about magic wanting to trade with chicago, but dwight vetoing.

Technically he was right, we made our deals before the deadline. Even though EVERYONE thought we'd acquire a backup center by the deadline. :(

And Bledsoe is starting to grow on me a lot! The kid can ball, and a consitent jump shot would make him scary.

Excuse me for wanting this team to be more than a first round flameout, or the fact that they are in the slow grueling process of losing their franchise player. But go ahead, and remind me of all the miserable seasons we've had before, and call me spoiled.

But hey, we'll share a beer after the Finals win this year if you want amirite pal?

let them keep Ibaka, i'd be happy just with Harden and fillers. Harden is a beast waiting to be unleashed.

it's a shame contracts wouldn't add up and they'd have to give up Perk and 3 others just to act as the "fillers".

Nothing is even close.

Why does it seem like the Dwight-saga is waaayy more convoluted than the Melo-saga, or even the Lebron-saga?

Dwight is either really THIS conflicted where he doesn't know what he wants or he is a child who doesn't know how to just come out and say how he feels.

I tend to lean toward the latter unfortunately. Atleast Melo knew he wanted NYC and made no secret about it and LeBron enjoys being a quality dickface.

Just sayin dude, we currently have a better record than 25 out of 30 teams, yet its 'miserable'. Wasnt Dallas a first round flameout in 2010 with their star player coming up on free agency? It could be worse, we could be the Raptors, nets, knicks, Kings, Calvs, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc

Alex Kennedy‏@AlexKennedyNBAReply
Sources in Orlando continue to say that the Magic likely won't trade Dwight Howard before the deadline. Ownership isn't ready to move him.

I really don't know how I feel about this. I have mixed feelings. I mean, if this happens, I just don't know how to feel. In one hand, I want Dwight with our team, on the other I don't want to be the Cavs next season. Tough

Yep, we're I guess we're THAT dumb for taking a chance (cleveland/lebron and shaq part II). All we can hope s that Martins has a master plan this summer...

Yeah, they really turned lemons into lemonade, there.

I just hope we are able to do something to turn the tides.

You do realize, they still won't be a playoff team for a couple yrs, right? Do you really want to have our team, miss the playoffs for yrs to come and just not be excited for our chances for a couple yrs??? But, on the same hand, I want to keep dwight, cause you never know what will happen. LIke I said, this is going to be a tough decision for Alex and Otis to make. I just hope if we don't trade him, we can make a couple little moves, to bring more scoring to out team

They got lucky with a first rounder and they have good management. you never know how long we'll be bad for... it could be 2-3 years, or, it could take 9-10 years... you never know.

Because the point is, Dwight will not tell Magic that he will not re-sign with us, he is leaving the door open, by saying we will be on his list... and that is what is going to kill us if we keep him and he leaves at the end. I think if that is what he tells us, ownership won't trade him and just play this season out, since we have been playing well latley. But, we need to make a little move to bring more scoring to our team or bench.
