Dwight Howard: Lakers in preliminary talks for Dwight Howard
http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--magic ... XVttS8vLYF

I'm going to be honest... I'd rather have Bynum than anyone the Nets or Houston are offering. I hope other teams are calling for Dwight though, if this thing is past the point of no return.

Even though I would like to keep Dwight, if Hennigan can flip him for Bynum and lowery I will be like this:

I personally want a locked up Blake Griffin. Bynum is probably a better piece to build around, but I love Blake! He would def make tank city fun to watch

I'm sure not only will the Magic want Bynum, but they will also want him with an extension already signed. Maybe the same for Lowery.

Another big addition to the trade is getting rid of Hedo and JRich. That is 12 million off the cap next season making us a big target for big name FAs.

Yet they some how went out of their way to trade for him before the season started?

Yeah Blake would be awesome.. and not just for the excitement he would bring, because he's a great player as well.

That's what i want. Sign Nick Young or Jamal Crawford to be our tank commanders. /jokes

I'm sticking with the Lamb/Jones/White/Lowry/K-Mart package.

I'll say this again. At the beginning of the season Nene was a free agent and the Rockets had capspace. They wanted to trade for Gasol, then sign Nene and pair them together. They have no reason to trade for him now.

The Lakers have held preliminary talks with the Magic on a trade for Dwight Howard, according to sources.

Orlando officials are now willing to explore trades of Howard and the Lakers, Nets and Rockets have been in touch.

No direct offers have been made by the Lakers, but the Magic are unwilling to entertain any trade that does not include Andrew Bynum. The Magic will rebuild and Pau Gasol wouldn't be conducive to those plans.

The Lakers were willing to trade Bynum for Howard in March, but those talks ended after Howard opted
in for the 12-13 season.

Howard and his agent have expressed a preference for a trade to the Nets.

So this tells me that Gasol is most likely headed to the Rockets and Bynum is most likely headed to the Magic with Howard going to the Lakers. We would also get assets from the Rockets as well. If we end up with Lowery and Bynum, while also ridding ourselves of Howard, Hedo and JRich, that would be a huge win for us IMO.

Yeah if Otis was still at the helm, but luckily for us, he isn't.

I seriously do not want to end up having to give Bynum a max deal. We would be able to build quite the team next summer though.

Uh they have no center, and lost Jordan Hill, they do indeed want Gasol :P

Did you hear about that Dwight Howard guy they are trying to acquire ? And if they don't get him, they reached out to Omer Asik. Gasol's contract is a deal breaker.
