Last I heard, Rockets were not offering both of last season's rookies and all three of this year's picks. Many could be in a deal, though.

Yeh, I think it will be 3-4 out of the 5. My guesses would be:

Lamb
White
Parsons
Jones

in that order...

He tore it up at the end of last year as a leader with heart and in the playoffs. I would love to see what he could do if given the reigns to be a captain of this team with Meer.

BTW. Patterson is nothing but absolute garbage and should not even be in the NBA.

Davis sucks. Even in his so called great playoff run he shot 43% from the field and all his advanced numbers were well below average. For a jump shooter who can't shoot, he had a USG rate in the high 27s. That's Lamarcus Aldridge territory. You take that from Iverson in his prime but not a so called good PF.

If this trade went down I think we should move Patterson Morris and kmart but also maybe sign oden to a 2yr minimum deal jus so we have him locked in 2nd yr team option or unguarenteed, keep him out for strength and conditioning most of the season if not all season when personnel sees he's ready tonplay give him a shot to see what he has, it wouldn't hurt to test him out on a min contract

The timing of amnesty waiver of Scola is not entirely about this deal. Deadline is Tue and he no longer fits. Check Morey comment Sunday.

Jonathan Feigen ‏@Jonathan_Feigen
As for Scola, even if they don't make this move, they're doing him a favor. Still gets the guaranteed $21 million and won't have to babysit.

Not buying that they are willing to pay a guy over $20mil to not play....just "because". It's obv to clear up space for one reason or another. I don't think they are doing it out of the kindness of their hearts.

It really is fishy for Dan Devos to JUST watch a summer league game.

As for timing of a deal, Magic stepped back on Wednesday to "take a deep breath." They will consider options. Can't say when they're ready.

With DMo, White, Patterson and two tweeners in Morris/Jones on the roster there was no room for Scola. Kindness of their heart has nothing to do with it and playing time for younger guys does.

We need a new HC, Rob can't pursue trades for D12 forever without a HC in place.

My bet is that we will hire a HC until monday and by this time Lin/Asik situations will be resolved.

I am surprised the Rockets could not find a trade partner that wants a starting caliber PF for $7 mil per.

9.5mil this season and 10.2mil next season, not 7mil per year. People talk about 7mil because the 3rd year is only 1mil guaranteed, IIRC.
