in the short term he might have but in the LONG term im pretty sure ive got him covered. Knights supposed to be as good as Gilbert arenas before the injuries and Lamb looks like a LEGIT scorer so far. add in a Nice Reserve Big who does his Role well and a PG who knows how to make good Decisions with the ball and he should be able to teach Knight some tricks to be a Better passer. cant really judge the trade till every pick is made.

People in general always get caught up in making judgments in a vacuum. Its all about "context". Great trade for both teams and it happened so fast  I think they got it done in 10 minutes

in what "context" does TD get better in this deal? he had a team that was playoff worthy, with solid defense, which he traded away for a rookie PG who hasn't shown consistency as an elite scorer or passer, a SG who has yet to play in an NBA game, and an aging PG (who, btw, was very good value for where he was selected). TD is now looking at the lottery, and only has uncertainty and 'potential' to rely upon, considering his team's success really depends on the performances of two rookies who have yet to play NBA standard competition.

Nem, on the other hand, went from being a similarly youth oriented team to now a legit contending threat. Durant and Smith is one of the best duos in our current league, not to mention the all defensive team potential of Smith, Durant, Allen and Jackson. props for capitalizing on people falling in love with potential over proven ability.

i was impressed when TD managed to get Horford and Smith, considering he didn't have a pick until round 3. but now he's just taken his team back significantly. there were still PGs on the board which could have been much cheaper than Josh Smith and Tony Allen.

Again, it's all about needs, direction, philosophy, etc... And luck of course... But I'm not going to get into any debates- I like to enjoy Bat :D

i know my team wasnt a title contender that didnt have that Elite Scorer and such.

actually my team looks solid depending on how the rookies im starting perform. Donatas is a guy who can do a bit of everything at PF. he may not be the defender Smith is but offensively id say he might even be better in the sense that hes a traditional 4 with the ability to be a stretch 4 or 5. Jackson was a backup on my team playing at the 6th man so to speak. allen was a victim of Numbers game(didnt want to not play him and take away the younger players playing time).

also consider the fact that the other 2 PGs which i was thinking about taking got picked after i made the trade was makes my trade look a bit better.

id love to see how good this team would be on a NBA game 8-)

What am I missing about NEM's team? Durant is obviously one of the best starting points but the team HR built isn't even half as good as his real life team. It's good...but I see several others I like better, excluding my own.

still working on a few trades to solidify my back court, so my team is still a work in progress, but i feel like im headed in the right direction. i have my super star, as well as a good complementary star to him. i have a top toer perimeter defender, as well as another guy who can score when it is needed and he can play defense. i have a project big, who i can turn into something more, or turn wait on him to become a star. i also have picks that are coming up within the next 30 or so picks. like i have been saying, i need a passing PG, to me that takes me where i want to go
I live rent free in your head. You know who you are :D

Maybe I just don't view Josh smith the way others do. He is a good player but he has 0 basketball iq and is lazy. Juat don't see him as a guy that helps you win a title. You third option isn't really even a starter anymore and is well past his prime. Not trying to hate...just trying to
Understand the love. Smith , Jackson, and Durant are all guys that need the ball in their hands to be truly effective. Starting a rookie as raw as Drummond...just doesn't seem like a recipe to success.

You know it's getting bad when the people running it are losing interest.

I like Rajon/Gordon and Seraphin.

Brook and Tayshaun are good value where you got them, but not sure how they fit your team. We'll see though!

i don't think they were losing interest because i've seen them on recently.

but if an assistant GM wants to take over my team, i'm looking to hand it over to someone. i'm tired of having to wait the full 4 hours for each pick, and then we have to wait for the guys after the "skipped picks" to be skipped as well.

i believe soul is doing a lot to make this work, especially since most of us have lives outside of this. but logging on once every day or every 2 days to monitor this BAT's progress isn't much to ask for (other GM's, not soul); if it is, then this isn't for you.

for NYK BAT's, we just take note of who is active, who gets skipped often, who doesn't participate, and then not allow them to come back for future ones.

but again, if anyone wants to take over my team, i have 3 upcoming picks and 8 players.

Open to trades involving players or picks. Looking to upgrade personnel, as always.

Email proposals, no matter how goofy, and lets get the ball rolling.

dont leave, br! its tough to get a replacement this late anyway.

plus once we get to pick 200, we're trying that 2 hour thing. hopefully it'll speed it up.

i'll probably stay, but if there's an assistant GM, and this is their first one, they can get experience by taking over this team. only stipulation is that they can't trade with the team they worked with
