It will be interesting to see how the playing time is handled.

I think Maurice Harkless' improvement will push AA out of town

They wont bench afflalo or nelson, oladipo will get plenty of minutes, but you dont need to start to get minutes

One thing about jameer is that over his career he's not averaged that many minutes surprisingly. He's probably realistically a 28 mpg guy right now as he was for his career up to last year, when he added 6 mpg to his average. So Dipo could probably get 12 of 48 minutes at PG and 16 at SG. So 28mpg probably. Enough for him to be in running for ROTY? Maybe.

then we have 144 minutes for Vuc, BBD, Harris, Harkless, Nicholson and KOQ. 32 for Vuc, 32 for BBD, 32 for Harris, 28 for harkless, 15 for Nicholson and 5 for KOQ??

AA going nowhere. He's a perfect fit for this team.

I'm not sure we're trading him, but I'm also not sure he's the perfect fit. He's better suited as a third option, but we don't really have two guys ahead of him on offense, unless he defers to Harris and BBD I suppose.

Thinking about the possible lineups, the returns of BBD and Afflalo, the maturing process of Vucevic and Harris and Harkless, plus the addition of Dipo...while we're not going to be a good team yet, we have the potential to surprise a lot of people.

Unless we move so,e vets off for picks or more youth, I think it's very possible we are just good enough to not get a top five pick in 14.

AA needs show significant improvement overall for me to feel this way. He was adapting to a new role so i do think he will improve, while getting back his defensive instinct.

Glad we're holding onto AA, no point in trading him if there's no good offers on the table. I swear if some of you guys were GMs we would've already traded him for a pile of dog ****.

In all honesty if we keep our team now and everyone healthy, and the improvement of our rookies, I see us as a 8th seed team. We have to much heart and hustle to tank.

I want to tank and get wiggens, but if jameer and bbd stay healthy it will be tough. Last season when both were healthy we were on track to make playoffs.

Why shouldn't our number two pick start , for a team that's not even expected to contend ? I get it about Nelson being the leader of the team an it will not be a good look to give his job to a rookie just because of where he was drafted . It will be interested to see how this plays out !

he's not a perfect fit at all, he'll only be with us after the deadline if the FO can't find an acceptable deal.

If you say this guy is worthy to take at #2 in the draft (I don't care how weak or strong it is) and you are not a contender already, the guy needs to start and play big minutes from Day 1. That is my thoughts. Throw him in the fire.
A smart coach once said, "Potential just means you're not good enough yet." Playing on potential is like living on air: It's essential, but if thats all you have, you're eventually going to starve.

If he doesn't play at least 30 minutes a game immediately, I'll be disappointed.

Afflalo will be traded, it just won't be before the season starts. All three of Jameer, Afflalo, and BBD will have much more trade value as the deadline approaches.

No surprise with the Afflalo news. If you guys think he's going to fetch a valuable piece, think again. I've said it before and I'm sticking by my guns; the guy has negative value around the league.

He actually is a perfect fit for this team.

Good shooter
Pesky defender
True professional
Hard worker

Isn't that the kind of player you want playing along side your young developing talent? But I guess people are going to hate on him because he was forced to be a completely different player for us when people got injured and we literally had nobody else that could create offense.

Why are people in denial about this? He's not getting traded anytime soon. Rob thinks highly of AA and his skill set will fit perfectly with this team once Dipo and Harris develop more to take on more of the offensive load and AA can sit back and do what he does best.

He also has a reasonable contract. So it's not like he's killing our cap space. But go on, let's all look for reasons to hate on players and want to trade them for absolutely no reason.
