Lol. Agreed.
Several times we’ve seen over 40 in the first half.
Probably more times this year than the 11 years combined under GOL.
I admit that I am getting spoiled.

Ucf stays at #18 in the new CFP
Not happy about all of the two-loss teams jumping around but it is what it is.
On a side note: Ucf is the highest ranked G5 team in CFP history after two weeks

it's pretty much nonsense that EIGHT two-loss teams are ahead of us.
BUT, a lot of those teams are going to be playing each other in the next few weeks, so if UCF keeps winning they should be able to make some moves. But I think 10 is probably the ceiling unless the CFP suddenly changes their mind and decides UCF is way better than they thought previously (maybe if we blow out USF and Memphis by 30 each, lol).

It won't much matter. There is a glass ceiling for teams outside of the power five and they are as far away from NCG as they have ever been. That was the cost of getting access to one of the big bowls. There aren't 17 better teams in the country, but the committee is going to keep them from getting anywhere near the top four to avoid the conversation altogether.
I can appreciate rewarding schools that play tough schedules, but in some of the cases for these 2-loss teams, they are being rewarded despite their lack of anything resembling an impressive win.
UCF has too much on their table to even think about this for now though. UConn isn't a threat, but @Temple, USF, and the conference title game are all hurdles to be cleared for any questions about UCF's ranking to even matter.

I was a Knight before I was a Badger, so I can be neutral here.
Wisconsin's offensive line would destroy UCF. Jonathan Taylor would easily get 200+ yards in the game. The only way UCF could win would be in a shoot-out.
(I dread Bucky vs. Knightro --> Please God never let that game happen!)

I don't think you're being neutral at all.
USF in their dark ages played Wisconsin (led by Melvin Gordon) and we expected them to pound us into the ground. They did... but it took until the end of the 3rd quarter to wear down the defense. But it was arguably more because of our anemic offense (<20 mins of possession!) keeping the defense on the field all day than because of Bucky's OL.

UCF has 10x the offense of that USF squad and would give their defense a spell every now and then.
It'd be competitive.

Re: #12 UCF Football (8-0) vs UConn
Stoops and Kelly seem to be the most common names popping up from "sources" lately, and they're quite believable as targets. Both would be great hires IMO, Kelly's system would do great things with the system he employs, but it'd be a big change to how the UF program has traditionally looked. Stoops would be more in line with what Gator fans are used to.
Hoping they go with Strong.

I would be surprised if Strong was on the UF a-list.

Considering how poorly it went at Texas I doubt he ever sees a top level job anytime soon.

Men's basketball starts season off right with a win over Mercer. Tacko held out due to a minor injury. Could've gone if necessary but playing it safe this early.

Taylor went out early in the second half and did not return after what looked like he rolled his ankle.

I do think The Knights would put 30+ on the Badgers. The question is could UCF hold Jonathan Taylor below 250 yards and 4TDs? It would be a defensive challenge. In conclusion: what ever the scoring line was for the game: I would bet the OVER. Hard to see less than 60 total points. Could be closer to 80.

UCF has a -39.5 line for this game. I for one expect them to cover (i.e. win by 40+)
