I'm sure they will both bust if they are stuck in Magic jersey.

Great, so we have our backup situation solved. How about that starter though? I know what you're about to say, "we're clearly going after Young." But what if we don't land Young for one reason or another? Our starting PG for next year is either DJ, Mack, or Iwundu. Yikes.

Young is my answer but I'm very concerned that we are gonna win too many games to get him. I wonder if maybe they like Sexton just as much. Who knows. If that's our PG situation next year then we will be bad again. So we play the lottery again and hope we get the next stud PG in the draft. Never know.. but we do know if Elf is not a starting PG on a good NBA team. PG's who can't shoot the ball just can't thrive in todays NBA. We hoped he'd develop a reliable jumper. Never really happened. Time to move on.

It's not a forgone conclusion, we could end up with the worst record in the NBA and pick 4th in the draft. We could also get back to full health, which is going to be pretty soon, and win ourselves out of the top 5. So many variables to just throw an asset away.

I think chances are high that one of those two will be available at our slot, unless we go on a win streak without Elf.

Very possible we can be better than we've shown. We now have more spacing, but more importantly, we're about to start getting all of our injured players back. Vuc is coming either tonight, or sometime in the next week too. We've been winning in our last 5 without AG, Vuc, Ross, etc.

It's fine to move on, the return and the logic behind the return is not fine. We need to start getting better soon. Can't stay in the top 5 of the lottery forever hoping that one day, someone will stick. We need to hit on our draft picks wherever we land.

Sorry to break it to you and your source man, but this team doesn't have a real shot drafting either. They will not be picking top 6. We are in freefall to 8-10 pick if we're lucky. We will be at full strength for the easiest part of our schedule.

It's too soon to "start getting better". We can get better all we want after this years draft. I'm concerned because last time we went on a win streak terror it was with DJ as our starting point guard. If we go from the best chance for 1st pick and a top 4 pick guaranteed to the 8-12 draft range the season will once again be a complete waste.

It's sounding like the second most favorable of Memphis, Charlotte and Miami instead of Phoenix's unfortunately.

Too soon? It's been 6 straight years of lotto picks. It's actually too late if anything.

Elf had a roller coaster here very inconsistent and still struggles with his shot and is to hard headed to cut his hair which became a hindrance in his mechanics. I do wish we made more trades but at the same time I'm glad we didn't add more salary.

I liked him when we first got him, my issue with him as always been largely his defence. Sure he can't shoot but if he were an elite defender like he had all the tools to be he would have been solid.

Anyway like others have said the problem now is we kept all our other guys and they will be healthy down the stretch so once again we will win too many games

That's a poor return, I knew we couldn't get much for him, but not even Phoenix's own second round pick?

He's right though. We are gonna need some major luck to get a top 3 pick at this point. I hope we can hang on to top 6 at least.

Do you really think that a organization with a history of winning out of the top picks in the draft for the last 5 years is going to suddenly tank correctly?

Pass the drugs man.

Anez dropped some knowledge... Doug McBuckets to Orlando was all but said and done but Knicks were able to 1ne up and went with Mudiay over Elfrid...
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Yeah, unfortunately, I haven't been able to completely desensitize myself yet and just completely not care about the incompetence that this organization shows year after year. I'm working on it though.

I can already see it now.

Two years in the future:

"Undersized vanilla midget, who actually thought he could run with NBA talent"

"All he does is shoot 3s"

"Worse than Jameer at defense"

100% on board with this. I was tired of seeing Payton on the Magic. Maybe ORL strikes gold with the pick.
