Looking at it more this has to be a move to prepare ourselves for more moves...

Grant is interesting but there has to be more involved here.

I'm beginning to wonder if Mozgov is getting Ridnour'd this offseason.

Hard as he does not have Ridnour's non-guaranteed deal.

That would be the difference maker. I forgot about that part. Thx.

I can only hope. Maybe Mosgov is to be Mo's primary backup and we are planning to dump Nik as well. Maybe they figure they need to clear the spot to open the way for Mo.

It was obvious Biyombo's time was going to end here as they likely wanted Khem Birch to get his minutes.

It's moving parts but do want to see the full deal before making full judgment.

confused, this deal seems unnecessary Biz and mozgov are the same and grant isn't different from any backup PG. Looks like we're keeping Vuc, They weren't joking about bringing Mo along slowly instead of throwing him to the wolves like they should do but whatever i guess.

Yes! Thank you. Jerian Grant. Young point guard that needs opportunity instead of an aging vet. He’s going to grow with the core. Happy about this.

Mosgov cannot be a real option to be on the team, if he’s stretched/waived / bought out then we basically just got a backup point for nothing. So it’s not awful.

Really? You're excited about Jerian Grant? As a 3rd stringer, you could do worse but he's a very conservative playmaker that isn't very dynamic and isn't a consistent shooter.

What are the odds that we would trade Biyombo in a three-team deal and he would be the best player involved...

He is going to be 26 at the start of next season though..He is also not going to be the starter either. This almost guarantees that DJ will be starting for us again.

We just traded our hardest player to move/ contract to move and we did it :o :o :o

Mozgov salary is slightly cheaper than Biyombo. Biyombo is $17 million this year and next year. Mozgov salary is $16 million this year and just under $17 million next year. The only issue I have is Mozgov is 6 years older than Biyombo 31 years compared to 25 years old. But we got back Jerian Grant.

(Now that we were able to trade Biyombo), Vuc, Fournier or anyone else is easily tradeable!!!!!!

The Magic basically acquired Jerian Grant for free.

Biyombo and Mozgov are pretty much a wash both financially and on the court.

Maybe they feel like Mozgov won’t complain as much as Biyombo if he’s a DNP:CD every night?
