I remember videos like this in Philly

lol calm down he's just messing around doing spin trick shots... if we start seeing him air ball free throws and threes in an empty gym then we can panic. Doubt he allows reporters to film him actually practicing any time soon though.

That's how Philly thing started.
He was bricking everything and people were like " relax he is just messing around".
Than out of thin air it was announced that he is changing his form... Everything is history after that. Happend 2 years ago . Time flys.

I don't mind him messing around ,but man every time i see him , i have that " this kid is awkward as it gets" vibe

Adding shooters are also a must if we want to compete next year.

No matter who you re-sign or put on the court, if your lineup will have guys shooting below 40% from 3, its going to be difficult to bring the ball to the paint.

It pretty much happened all series in the playoffs. Even OKC strugged because PG was the only guy respectable for them from 3s.

Great article on Toronto’s defense, what they specifically did to the Magic to stop us and how that translates into the next round. Excellent read that helps explain why we struggled - they were great.

Me. You don't trade Bamba after one year for 50% on the dollar. You drafted him knowing full well he is a project and is super raw. Trading him when is value is lowest is just not very smart
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

just spit my coffee everywhere... this is how I'm feeling today...

Magic are **** either way with Vuc without Vuc.. We're still 2/3 years away and it will continue to be 2/3 years away until Magic decide to get a proper guard and playmaker.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I say this for exactly the same reason he signed the bargain of a contract extension the year before the salary cap jocked up like double the amount.

1.) He signed the extension based on his potential, now based on whether he can continue performing at this level.
2.) Stupid player agent. Timing of the contract extension he signed was right before the salary cap doubled.
3.) Family Stability
4.) European.. Europeans tend to stay in one team, or sign for less. Max europeans players of the past, Pau and Dirk (am I missing someone else?) Vuc very well knows he isnt like those guys. Lol
5.) Wife Fournier still on the team.

TRoss. I`d love to re-sign him, but I dont think we give him a huge payday. He is hot and cold. He is a perfect player off the bench who cam give you instant buckets, whn he is feeling it. But I think we need to improve our bench still. Re-signing him and get another scorer to play with him.

I dont think we`re tanking but building on the improvements this season. Management may just be content on being a fringe playoff team every year, unfortunately. The signing of Steve Clifford and not blowing up the entire roster last season pretty much says it all.

This basically outlines my feelings and desires.

Playing this out, saying that Vučević signs a 5 year 125M deal, the roster is really about the FA splash in the 2020 off-season. With Mozgov and Fournier coming off of the books, that allows the Magic to go at a near Max SG. How will Vučević respond to Fournier leaving?

Anyhow, I really expect something like this next year.
Trade Augustin in a SnT for Kaminsky. Draft the best SG in the first. Resign Vučević, Carter-Willams, and Briscoe. Wait for the 2020 off-season.

Your 2019/20 Orlando Magic:
Fultz/Carter-Willams/Briscoe
Fournier/Langford
Isaac/Iwundu/Frazier
Gordon/Kaminsky
Vučević/Bamba/Mozgov

Two ways: Jefferson and the 2019 second: Mr. BPA regardless of position.

This would make a bunch of people's heads absolutely explode including my own.

I don't think there's any chance in hell of Vucevic getting a 5 year deal.

Especially after watching this series I am really encouraged by Birch and want to see what he can do given a starter role. I really want us to let Vuc walk. Ross it depends on what he wants. Birch looks like he is more than capable of being a cheap defensive option while Bamba develops. This also has the benefit of allowing Issac and Gordon to take bigger offensive roles. Its important we save cap space so if Fultz doesn't turn into that star wing we desperately need that we have the cap flexibility to go get someone in the next couple years. This league is all about guard and wing play spending big money on a big man I don't believe a winning formula.

Are you guys really judging Fultz by a random video showing him messing around doing some spinning trick shots?

Well you guys might have never played bball if you think he is practicing layups. Chill out.

I think they are just being sarcastic about the video.

Planning that fultz will be healthy by the start of the season might be the biggest mistake we make in the offseason.

Well some of us anyway. Pepe already made up his mind Fultz is damaged goods forever . He might be, but we really won't know until training camp probably (or summer league if they actually throw him out there).

I don't think the magic give vuc 5 years... it's not necessary. If he wants to stay, a 4 year contract will do as that's all anyone else can offer too. Pass on Kaminsky, especially at PF.

Gordon tried to play with a ball but Raptors didn't give a flying F about him doing it, so they were putting even Vleet to guard him.

There are things to complain about JI's offensive game (or lack there of), but assists is not one of them IMO. His only role in the offense is to camp out at the three point line and wait for a pass. He does make the occasional cut down the lane that always gets missed, but he doesn't have the ball in his hands by design. You can't expect him to get assists. Not his role.

Wings that can shoot and create are what this team is lacking. Draft or trade, just get some help.
May I see some documentation on that please?

it's still strange to say a least, that your starting level wing has 1 assist in 5 games. You would think you would get 2,3 by accident, especially what they count as assists nowdays. To be fair, same thing happend to Danny Green last year, when he had 1 assist in 5 games ( this year he has 10 already).

Agree with bottome part, actually agree with everything.

Problem is not Isaac role, but that nobody can handle and create with the ball including Isaac:) Him not putting the ball on the floor is a bit worrisome though
