Away teams are exempt from the rules that Kyrie is dealing with.

As I understand, JI can play all away games EXCEPT to those cities/states under restrictions like NY/BKN?

Just adding another opinion I am for trading him away as I think he is too unreliable, BUT I think he needs to come back and show short-term health so we can sucker someone else into him. But as soon as he does ship him out before he breaks again. Good riddance to another failed Magic lottery pick.

It would be good to get JI back out there. This anti vax stuff is just silly. Stop the political stuff and get back there and earn that extension you signed Johnny. He and Fultz are needed badly for this squad.
You look confused...let me fill you in.

He can play those if he's a visitor. If he was on their team he wouldn't be able to play.

Why do you even care what athlete thinks in first place ? I'll never get worshiping of athletes ( or even worst, celebrities and singers ) in general. Difference between you and one Lebron James comes from fact that one was born as "zero point one percent genetic" athletic outliner being 6'9, low bodyfat , motoric ability, durabilty , coordination . And other is you. Without any of it.
Sure sure hard work and all other buzzwords that mean little. Reality is rather ugly one, he (and most of them ) was born with body to become zero point one percent -athlete, you weren't. That's doesn't make him, or any other pro athlete political opinion any more valuable ( or less valuable ) than yours. So why do you care?

People got so cought up into this Isaac opinion that it's hilarous. You think vaccination is saving lifes? Good, take vaccine. If he doesn't, good, let him do whatever he pleases. IF that ends up costing him money and career (like it seems to be doing to Kyrie Irving) ,again, it's his decision , not yours to make. If he feels like going to talk shows and talk with people who share same opinion views, good for him. Jason Collins was nba nobody and went in public to say he is gay. Over next couple of months he was popping out of every talking show that is left wing or supported left wing. CNN, Oprah, ABC news , you name it, he was there. And Jason Collins from basketball perspective was equivalent of 14th man in rotation on bad team.

They get calls to those shows because it helps spread agendas, they use world-wide athletes worship to do their "wink wink--see XY is famous and he thinks just like us, it means we are right -wink wink".

You are insane ... if you think LB is a "zero point 1 percent genetic athlete". More like 0.00001% genetic athletic.

Of course, it makes your point even stronger, but accuracy counts.

It was said during media day that he is unvaccinated. Do not get that confused with him not having immunity. He had Covid and therefore have the same immunity (antibodies) that he would get if he got vaccinated.

For how long though? Got covid AND got vaxxed... and i cant expect my immunity to last for even half a year.

But... with what happened to me after I got vaxxed im just gonna say, its your body your choice your consequence so you cant blame anyone else.

Its a bit frustrating for sure. He's on record saying he would have played the season opener if the decision was up to him. For whatever reasons they don't want him playing yet, and we are not getting any information as to why or when we might see him.

Same for Chuma, his injury doesn't seem serious he looked fine moving around on IG yet he continues to sit and they say nothing about when he might come back.

Moore is a game-time decision. Okeke and MCW could be back Saturday against the Pistons.

I think this is exactly it. People are singling out JI, but all 3 guys have no timetable. That's just how this FO works. You will know when they step on the floor, maybe a day before, but that's about it. Sucks, but it is what it is.

No one actually knows that, not even the doctors. They've been doing a mess since day one.
For example here in Europe we got two doses of the vaccine and get the green pass. If we travel inside Europe we're ok but if we want to travel to the U.S or shouth America the two doses and green pass are not enough, you also need a PCR test. Why? No one knows. There's no criteria at all...
Now they are talking about the third dose, it's absolutely senseless...

Man we need some damn answers.

I’m all for being reserved, but a timetable isn’t too much to ask for at this point.

How long? Scientist are unsure for both natural or vaxxed immunity, research is ongoing. The problem is the mutation. Viruses normally mutate, which is not a problem as long as the spike protein remains the same. When the spike protein changes then there is a possibility that your immune system will not recognize the virus and have to fight it over again creating a different set of antibodies.

But, know this, having the antibodies does not guarantee that you won’t get Covid, it generally means that when your body see it again, your body is better able to fight it without getting you deathly sick. But a lot of underlying health issues really work at your immune system. That’s why Scientist recommend that if you had Covid go get the vaccine as a booster.

Exactly.. im pro-vax. Im all for us trying to get back to our normal lives pre-covid. However I will also be the one to admit there are a lot of unknowns, mistakes and misinformation about this. And as I said, with what happened to me after my 2nd dose, i cant fault anyone anymore with their decision on their bodies.

So to JI, if he doesnt get vaxxed and he doesnt hurt our team with it then why not? So what if he has his own locker room, dining place, sitting in the baggage area in the plane, etc etc. let him deal eith the consequence.

Moving away from the vaccination talk, I do find it a little frustrating that we don't even get broad updates on Isaac or Fultz.

I understand why they would prefer to not put a firm timetable on things, but this shroud of secrecy that Weltman insists on having is just a little goofy. It doesn't feel like any sort of competitive advantage.

They always repeat the same statement, " we don't want to put a timeline on any injury".

I think we see Isaac in mid-January. Just my hunch based on this FO's previous handling of injuries and Isaac's fragility.

I love Isaac the player, but I'm already 90% of the way moved on in terms of his long-term future as a core piece of this team. Wagner/Okeke are very viable forward pieces in my eyes, && I'm looking towards the 2022 draft where we should be major players and two elite forward prospects (Holmgren/Banchero) sit at the top.

I get the contract argument, && how the FO may view him, but until Isaac can string some healthy seasons together with sustained high-level of play, he won't factor into my long-term vision for this team.
