Among all the guards, I have the highest confidence in Suggs. He is explosive and he doesn't need offense to be in the rotation or starter. But he was shooting much better during this stretch, plus Suggs has the highest ceiling. Last night CHI game gave me confidence that we need to play Suggs more. That is what I am thinking

I have big concerns that he can't crack a Harris + Cole + Fultz rotation given his pick #.

It's almost like we took him as a high risk high reward developmental player and not for what is a sure thing.

Since 2023 calendar year rolled Jalen Suggs plays 14 mpg 4,4 shots a game and usage rate of 16%

Until Magic solve logjam at guards, we won't know what we have in Suggs. If he continues his Bamba-tragjectory ( zero pratical usage in rotation, plays just to not get DNPCD) than might as well trade him today until you can get some value for him ( unlike whole Bamba fiasco)

In his last 61 games (of his 123 played so far), Suggs is shooting more than 36% from 3 while taking 3.8 Attempts per game at only 23 mpg. Thats half his NBA career so far of Suggs being a good 3pt shooter.

The truth is if a person really knows the game they would've seen the form Jalen shot the ball with and taken into account that he appears to be a hard worker (judging by excelling at two sports) and have come to the conclusion that chances are pretty good he was going to shoot the 3 pretty good eventually.

One of those posters bases a lot of his basketball knowledge on a the theory that players don't get better.. that they are who they are which is one of the most ignorant things I've ever heard. I knew it wasn't going to look good for him but I didn't think it would happen this quick. But he does a good job of not breathing Jalen's name.. ever subscribing to the technique that if you ignore something hard enough it doesn't exist. :lol:

But better on offense. Smart’s TS% his third year was 49% while Suggs is at 60%. Allen was a terrible shooter.

Still your point remains. You need defensive grit like Suggs on the team.

Tony Allen isn't a good comp. Suggs is a way better passer and playmaker than Tony Allen. He'll enter his prime in 3 years. I'm (proudly) biased but I'd bet a house hell be in a different conversation than those two players.

As the shooting percentage is sustained things will get easier for him to attack the bucket where he's become a much more effective finisher this year. He was pretty bad around the bucket his rookie year but this year you can see he worked on that party of his game.

Immanuel quickly and a first round pick for him? Would you say yes? We'll even throw in a Julius Randle for ji swap.

The ideal pairing, imo, is Quickley right next to Suggs, not trading Suggs for Quickley

and don't get all worked up, i'm just messing around. People will always have their favorite players and players they don't for no reason. That's part of human nature.

Ofc there is fine line between being delusional homer on one spectrum and diabolic psycho hater on the other.
