Zero issues with this move. Deep bench guy who plays with a little fire and toughness. Great mentor to have in the locker room in terms of how to approach the game. Plus it’s a team option for next season so who cares?

Makes sense to me from the angle of it's an end of bench guy that doesn't need to develop. He already is what he is. There will be no hard feelings from him when/if he doesn't play.

On the other hand, Kevon Harris is a better shooter. Maybe should have just gone with him...

I guess they believe in lucky charms.

Didnt we sign him when we made that last minute playoff push?

His brother seems like a better player.

I dont believe he’ll he much more than a veteran presence.

I don't think he can challenge Steph Curry in shooting, but he is a "bulldog" on defense.

We have two mad dog pit bulls now..alpha and beta...Suggs and MCW...like it!

I like this move. My guess is that management has an idea of moving on from someone. Maybe this is for depth chart reassurance to allow maximum flexibility at the draft. Maybe the consolidation trade many here are clamoring for will actually happen. Question is who would move on? Is MCW closer of a player to replace the starting point guard or the backup point guard?

I'm surprised this hasn't come up, but I could've sworn when he was waived, it was with a wink and a nod deal that he could return if he overcame the injury after surgery and rehab. I even think I recall him doing a halftime show one broadcast and mentioned coming back to help if he can.

I like MCW, but I also think that this signifies that after this loss to IND, we're going tank mode, not play in...

Boys, dust off those tank commander memes!

Peaches might be a better get at this point, shooting wise!

This signals the end of the Fultz gold debacle.
His #1 bust virus infecting Paolo and even Franz lately has led to a serious decision.
Michael Clowning Williams is now getting control of the tank.

I don’t understand this.

Weird lol.

Also I don't think he played guard for us that often or would be, I mean he's like 6'5-6'6 and was swole as **** last time.

I remember Clifford saying that MCW was the best player on the team in practice.

A defensive, non shooting, do everything else guard, cautionary tale/mentor for a #5 pick investment… I Like it.
But.. How fun would Payton be? Just me?

Nothing better than to show Jalen his future self if he doesnt learn how to shoot.

All I can say is if the Magic had MCW to start the season, they would not have started 5-20.

He is not a difference maker, but when a team has zero PG', any PG is a difference maker.

That’s likely the overarching answer to why he’s here.

If you asked me, "Should the Magic waive Hampton to sign Carter-Williams", umm.....

That's tough.

Anyhow: this move does imply the Magic is in an anti-tank mode and that the team needs vet bench play.

Or maybe this is just about Carter-Williams showing Banchreo the correct way to lift the RoY trophy over your head ????

I like this move.

It gives The Magic a third point guard and allows Jalen Suggs and Frank Wagner not to play out of position if a point guard is out.

Michael Carter-Williams will also provide veteran leadership.

No one should have a cow over this move.
