I'm being sarcastic about Paolo never being an all-star again, but the idea of him being an MVP is absolutely laughable.

He's not even the best player on his own team. I'd put his career MVP odds at like 0.0001% or something like that.

Melo was in the top five at his peak. I could see Paolo surpassing Melo due to playmaking, rebounding, and defense.

Banchero won;t be traded in the next two years. But to answer the question, as half of this board is screaming for a PG, then the assist leader this year should be the target, right?

I think Banchero for Trae Young would be considered by the Hawks, in a complex set of assets. It won't happen, but this is basically a fair player-swap for both teams.

I wouldn’t…ATL is too close to home. I think Paolo has more value than Trae…age is a factor and Paolo is a lot more likely to shore up his weaknesses at this point…Suggs + KCP + picks more likely, imo.

I don’t think they will like being challenged. For the most part they seem to really have things easy around Orlando and with the media. They basically seem to have total control of the narrative. She’s absolutely right in what she says, but will ownership want to MAX Paolo out AND deal with criticism from star players mom? This could be the smoke before the fire.

His mother is on record multiple times telling the coaches and leaders to scorch her sons butt in practice. She is as committed to the idea of her son being successful as he is, but, as many have pointed out. He has Franz and that's it right now on offense. This is the kinda offense that takes a player in his prime to find more wins.

I’m the knucklehead who brought that up so just say me and no not because he’ll want to leave but because our inept FO will trade him as a scapegoat for their ineptitude.

I’m just pointing out the ramifications to the geniuses who think trading him solves our glaring issue in some panic trade where we get to watch Paolo continue to excel somewhere else and we lose on the deal while watching an inept FO continue to evaluate.
