CJ McCollum is probably the best mix of gettable, workable current & future contract, shooting, playmaking, vet presence, defensive decency that we can logically expect to land. He'd prob be up toward the top of my list.

I know we want to get rid of guys but it takes 2 to tango

KCP is due 22 mil the next 2 years. I don't think teams are going to be knocking down doors to trade for him.
JI is due 15 mil next season. I don't think teams are going to be knocking down doors to trade for him.
Cole has 13 mil next year. I dont think teams are knocking down doors to trade for him.

Now could you package a pick(s) to go with one these guys to move off them? Sure. I'm not sure that's worth it though. I'd rather see if KCP can have a bounce back year then part with a pick just to get rid of him.

They guys that teams would like to trade for (besides our core) are WCjr, Black, Goga. MAYBE some team believes they can get something out of Jett as he's still young. Maybe TDS as well. Those are the guys we gotta be willing to move

This is simply the reality

Simons is younger, more attainable, on a cheaper deal, less injury prone, and not 1 contract away from retirement.

He's a horrible defender, and Portland wants too much.

KCP's might be a little bit harder to move, but teams might overlook his bad season as an anomaly (the Magic might do the same to be honest). His track record is much better than this past season. JI and Cole are on pretty team friendly deals. They're both around the MLE.

The MLE is like $14m these days. Sometimes I have to remind myself that $15m is quite friendly these days, lol.

It's the most wonderful time of the year... :D

Guys that higher-ups have basically given a vote of no-confidence, based on their places in the rotation...
-Goga
-da Silva (I give him the rookie pass)
-Jett Howard...if you're not even going to put him on, why wasn't he moved while he still has some "mystery/intrigue" to him?
-Trevellin Queen...gives big performances but can't take Jett or Gary's spot on the bench (for years)...maybe just not that bright or some clear ceiling

Guys that have been given "experimental" minutes but haven't pounced on the opportunity to expand their role...
-CoJo...not really a "tryout", more like "we don't have any more time for tryouts - send in the pro".
-Anthony Black...had a decent year, steady improvement - but hasn't proven much yet, still way too tentative despite getting minutes. Solid D. Time no longer on his side anymore. Been given lots of grace, imo, for a #6 draft pick, who hasn't been asked to do much. Not "hungry" on offense.
-Caleb Houstan...I think his effort on both ends and his total understanding of what he's here for has earned him another year-at least
-KCP...not really the right category, but I assumed that it was expected that, in ORL, he'd up his scoring and playmaking and leadership...no,no,no

Guys that low-key are a lot higher priority to FO/Mose than we might think (or hope).
-WCJ...no matter what bright moments Goga brings, Mose always goes back to WCJ...I like him and salute his playoff effort, but she should backup 5/4
-Gary Harris...he has gotten the nod, for a few years now, over younger guys that we are always surprised about. He what he is...at $3m-fine, not $7.5m
-Cole Anthony...maybe it's just "they're heavily favored - we need a miracle" that keeps Cole in the rotation...when you're desperate for offense, well...
-Isaac...still a fan and hope he comes back better conditioned to run like the old Isaac, and he's just GOT to do better from 3. I don't see him moving.

My CORE:
Paolo, Franz, and Suggs...3 absolutely premier players, if Suggs' 40% from 3 on high-volume is real and consistent - we could have 3 All-Stars
Moe ( I just wish he made more like $7-8m, instead of $11m...and if he IS worth $11m, I hope he is the clear #2 next year with a vet min replacing Goga
I think Caleb, TdS, and AB are able to contribute right now and able to improve much more each year..(not untouchable, just good value keeps)
Harris, CoJo, Queen...I trust Mose on this, but none of them should be getting more than $3.5m per...nice enough end of the bench guys

Isaac, WCJ, Goga, KCP, Cole...happy to make moves involving any of them. I like the idea of WCJ backing up some 7' monster, but that I want out of Isaac & Goga's $$$. WCJ is, without question, the most physical big we have and the most "violent" rebounder - but he's not enough. Let him bully and dominate bench players on both ends. If somebody really wants WCJ, I'm not opposed at all, he's maybe too expensive for the bench role, but not quite big enough to start for a contender. He was "one of the best deals in NBA"...then the extension changes the whole picture. KCP is just a good player in a bad situation who should his Agent a NICE holiday basket. Gotta trade him and plug AB in behind Suggs.
Cole might be the most tradable because he's a TO $13m, so he's the closest thing we have cap space, in terms of trading with tankers. I'd love to trade him, but undoing some of the other contracts could take precedent if given the opportunity...We could park him at the end of the bench and move him to a team more interested in cap flexibility than some role player we could use.Should be easy at TD...if not before.

Moseley and the entire front office needs to go, but we know that won't happen. The offense and the glaring holes in this roster construction are a joke to the entire NBA and fans everywhere. The only thing that made any of those games close was the pure talent of Banchero and Wagner, nothing else.

We can already make trades with teams not in the playoffs right? Not that it matters, FO will probably sit and wait for 5 mins before the deadline for the leftovers - wouldn’t want teams knowing what we need/are looking for and up the asking price!

Can we stop with the Simons being a horrible defender narrative? You know what makes defense a little easier, scoring points… at the end of the day basketball is about scoring as much as defending and Simons would be from day one the third best offense player on the team and he’s doing it from the perimeter. Does not matter if you hold your opponent to 89 points if you don’t score 90 yourself at least.

No one wants KCP, Cole or Isaac. If you give up nothing you get nothing in return and teams aren't taking our trash in exchange for a starter. The picks we can attach aren't even that good.

If AB has the most trade value this summer then that is who has to go. Jeff either ends his love affair with his own prior draft picks or we go into next season with no point guard again.

This season was not an anomaly from an injury standpoint. Suggs has only been healthy one out of his four years in the league. If Cory Joseph is the only other PG on the roster the results will be the same. Black has proven he is not a point guard, and Mosley has proven he doesn't think Black's a point guard. Five playoff games, zero assists, mostly played hot potato with the ball every time he touched it. There clearly is not even an effort being made here, by player, coach or management, to have Black run the offense.

Weltman should have been fired TODAY, if he still has a job with the Magic tomorrow I can’t take ownership serious about winning a championship at all. Truth be told, Weltman should be gone by tomorrow and the entire assistant coaching staff. Do them all a favor and give them a Headstart on finding a new job if they’re lucky enough.

I know it won’t be popular on here, and I promise I come here with nothing but good intentions.

One thing that can’t be overlooked. The core 3 players are all career 32% 3pt shooters. With each of them shooting 32%, 31%, 29% from 3 this past season.

I’m a fan of all 3 guys individually. And I know Suggs shot it well last year, but it’s now 3 out of his 4 seasons he has shot 32% or worse from 3. It’s now back to back seasons for Franz being sub 30%. And Paolo has shown zero improvement as a FT shooter and his 3pt shot doesn’t seem any more dependable compared to last year.

You can’t have a core of 3 perimeter players that aren’t consistent shooters. Now I would like to see them all operate with more spacing around them, and hopefully that helps build offensive rhythm and maybe better shooting will come with that.

Not saying 1 of 3 has to be moved this offseason. But I do think that is something that can’t be overlooked and I think should only be given 1 more year max. If all 3 don’t show much progression as shooters next year. A move will need to be made.

BRANDON MILLER!! It’s well noted Coach Mosley is a players coach and well respected by players around the league, but have you’ll noticed his interactions with Brandon Miler? They seem to be really chummy, this is the type of player we could use next to Paolo and Franz. Would he come to Orlando as a free agent? Would we have an enticing package to offer the Hornets for him?

He is also similarly unplayable as Cole in playoff games. Boston would have hunted him into oblivion. It's Sexton or bust I fear.
