Sky what about Portland? Portland has some young talent to send over with Advija that might actually be a better fit for us next to Franz. Advija could play SF and move Franz over to PF, there are some really intriguing names to add in there with Advija.

It makes sense also kinda if we are/would move Paolo. Portland is really close to where he’s from so it’s kinda like he’d be back home and he can be the face of the Trail Blazers

Portland was my first (imaginary) stop...Scoot and Clingan? Would have to add salary, maybe Grant and we throw back a center other than Moe.

I like the Pacific Northwest idea...also, I'm not even considering something in the East. I do NOT want to see him too often in another jersey.

Checking out Portlands future draft capital and they have none besides Memphis’s 2028 first round pick. Throwing all our 1st round picks into the Bane deal is going to be a tough pill to swallow.

Portland owes a lottery protected 1st to Chicago in 2026, 27 or 28. If it doesn't convey as a first in 2028 the Bulls get a 2nd
in 2028 the Blazers have the Orlando unprotected 1st and the right to swap picks with the Bucks
in 2029 the Blazers have 2 picks. The highest and lowest of their own, the Bucks and the Celtics picks
in 2030 the Blazers again have swap rights with the Bucks
in 2031 and 2032 they have their own picks

I mean it's just a hypothetical. If we hypothetically have to bring in a new coach and still can only outperform tanking teams on offense crazy stuff will be on the table.

I'm sure mostly everyone here wants Paolo to work out. I'm sure some would trade him now, I personally wouldn't, I believe in him and want this team to work. But I don't think those people are guaranteed to be wrong in the long run either. He hasn't been that good yet-- we still are banking on potential, which is fine since he is only 22.

We'll see what happens, but he definitely isn't exempt from criticism, especially given this team historically has not performed all that well with him on the court. That can in part be because of coaching, his teammates, inexperience, whatever. But it has to improve at some point, it just does. Once it does I'm sure people will stop "hating" or whatever, to me it is just being critical. And he is going to have people being the most critical because we expect him to be great. Just how it works.

Hypothetically though, Ja Morant is a name that comes to mind with all that’s going on over there. Not saying he’s ideal with his mentality but he can play with Bane, and with Franz. Theoretically it would work if he can get his head on right and keep it on.

Well you need to move the ball correctly and efficiently so it matters a great deal.

A true PG has been taught and honed this skill throughout their career. Just like a shooter has learned and honed that skill for many years.

They are out there just teams aren’t willing to give them up for oranges because they are important to their team.

Zero interest in Banchero.

Paolo can't even be traded this season, but they persist. I do think he ends up better than anyone currently on the Portland roster, tho.
