You spent 20 per on one player. Your not planning on going for a title this year though? Your not sacrificing the future on a quick fix?
What is Otis plan? When has Otis ever showed long term visionary thinking. This is the guy that signed Battie and Bogans which cost the Magic 7 million in cap space. Then tried to sign Darko then said no. Then passed on trading Darko only to let him go for nothing a few months later.
Since it's so bad, then find a team with more of an upside. Unless you enjoy being miserable.
Who cares about upside. You need to go out and try to win now. Really if your spending 20 per a year on one guy then you should be trying to win now.
Again though this roster reminds me so much of the KG Twolves before the Cassel and Spree trade. While your busy talking about upside a team makes a trade and there better than you. Really its not stretching it that Miami and Atlanta could be better than us just next year.
They have a saying about guys that always hesitate at the clubs. Instead of jumping in and getting there feet wet its like everything has to be aligned just right before you can make a move. If the deadline passes and no moves are made again IMO its the ultimate indicment as Otis as a GM. This summer this team has no expiring contracts and no good young talent to offer in trades. Its a buyers market right now and if you can't take home a girl tonight then you should just quit coming to the party.
