Harkless can be sort of a Nicolas Batum type with the long arms and defense. If he can develop his offense to a respectable level he can be a contributor but it's going to take a ton of work. Not too worried about his demeanor he might be one of those Tracy Mcgrady types who's sleepy on-court demeanor often had people question his motor at times but he had the game to back it up. Will Harkless? only time will tell

Harkless has miles to go offensively, and Nicholson has miles to go defensively.

If they put the work in and commit themselves, I'd hope they can reach their full potential.

Players with Harkless' skill set tend to be busts/very average players quite often.... I'd just hope that he can be an outlier with a solid development plan from our staff. He has time on his side.

I agree on Harkless. Earl Clark was very similar and was drafted even higher. We said the same things about Clark that we say about Harkless.

Exactly.

Luckily, we are in a position to make player development a huge sticking point.

Guys like Clark and Julian Wright were drafted onto very solid teams, and it's possible that their development suffered because of it.

It won't happen overnight, but i'd imagine that our staff will be very patient with our rooks.

What happened to the JJ and Big Baby pick n roll? Seems like Davis' only scoring opportunities have been 1on1 lately.

Yup.

I gave them a pass last game b/c of the b2b, but where was the energy from our players tonight?

For all of you shocked at Brook Lopez's rebounding, he has improved a lot this season in that area. Also, for those of you trying to downplay his performance, he has played well many times against the top centers in the league not named Dwight. Let the hatred go.

The Earl Clarke comparison to Harkless is scary good.

I know he's just 19 but he doesn't play like he wants to make a name for himself. I'd be happier if he attempted things and failed rather than stand to the side and do nothing.

I just don't see any energy or passion from him. I hope he proves me wrong though because we need him to be something for this franchise.

That conversation ended 4 pages ago.

Brook is awesome. Very solid. Majestic. Sexy. Mystifying. Gorgeous.

He's a Haiku, whispered softly in your ear by an elegant Asian beauty on the peak of Mt. Fuji.

Nobody cares about Lopez. Stop trying to convince us that he's great and we missed out on something big. Nobody cares.

We need to play Nicholson more while he does get lost at times he can have a burst of points in short succession and we NEED points right now. Big Baby is still forcing things and honestly i rather have him shoot mid-range jumpers instead of bowling head first right into a blocked shot

this team is predicated on jumpers. wheen they fall the game is competitve when they dont its a blowout. we just dont have anyone (healthy) that can create shots by driving or down in the post

Nah, it's just too amusing for me to read all the bitterness and hatred towards Lopez from Magic fans here, as if he screwed their franchise

Even on the Nets board, you won't see that much hatred against Dwight and he actually screwed us

Jameer's penetration is sorely missed. Never knew what we had until we lost it to injury lol. Am i the only one that thinks O'Quinn should get the backup center minutes? sure Gustavo can pass and all but he brings absolutely nothing else. O'Quinn looks like a fighter to me and that might be what we need after we got bullied tonight
