yea this one is pretty obvious, harkless was the tank commander the last few years.

Well he wasn't losing games for us so..... Vaughn was the actual tank commander.

yeah, i personally dont believe Harkless was the tank commander, i just believe that a lot of starting roles, substitutions and stuff was based on the team tanking, not because certain people were playing better than others.

My question to Kevin Pelton & answer:

JB (Orlando)

Many pieces, no direction right now by the Magic. Would a coaching change improve the situation?? Which pieces are keepers?
Kevin Pelton (3:20 PM)

Sometimes it's tough to evaluate the pieces without a clear overall direction, so I think it's possible a coaching change could help guide that process.

The only way this becomes real is if the media starts to write about questioning coach, it's already starting to happen. Even opposing team's Announcers are starting to question Coach in this game and the one before this one.

Maybe Henny felt cheated with last years draft missing out on the Top 3 prospects and told JV to tank again?

Are there 3 prospects worth taking?
Towns and Okafor are the prizes in this draft. We already got Gordon and Vucevic, unless Vuc is going to be trade bait?

I think we hired the wrong Spurs assistant. Buchenholzer was clearly the guy Pop has been mentoring. Vaughn was probably the assistant they couldn't wait to get rid of. When the management says all nice things about a guy, you should be suspicious. If they really liked a guy they would be quiet in the hopes of keeping him. Didn't they go to two straight NBA finals once he was out of there?

i favored firing his ass, but at this point you may as well wait.
let him ruin this team enough to get closer to a chance at the number 1 pick
aol4532 on bill russell
I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

The team obviously gave up on Vaughn. Most of the guys played well at the beginning of the season, but they all regressed in last month. Time for a change.
Dump Vaughn.
Trade Hark and Nicholson if they're not gonna play.
Look at what you can get for Ben, Luke and Willie.
Frye, in theory is a great fit, so if you can get value, trade him, if not keep him.
KOQ is not a starter, that's clear.
Try Aaron and Tobias together in starting line up, that's probable future pair at forward.
And as his as Elf lions at time, magic are playing 4 on 5 on offense, nobody is covering him.

Like others said, if JV runs this team until the end of the season it could save a lot money on the extensions of KO, Harris, Fournier, Harkless and AN, that and the high draft pick could make up for watching this team play another full year with Vaughn.

It just sucks we have proven to the national media and other fanbases that our roster is terrible and we might be worse then the predictions that were out there.

no, because Harris and KO will want to go to a team with good coaching.

Before last night, I had some questions about Jacque Vaughn as Magic coach and was in the coaching change at the end of the season camp.

However, last night, I believe the players might be tuning him out.

The effort was bad and Vaughn did not seem to have answers in the postgame interview.

I do not want to see a change made midseason but if they are tuning him out even though this will not make the playoffs, it might become a question if you maybe need James Barrego or someone else on staff to finish out the season.

Then again, I know fans don't want to jeopardize being in the top to mid lottery so they can be in the mid to late lottery.

Hopefully, they have not tuned out Vaughn yet but right now, I think the question is not whether or not he is out at the end of the season but whether or not he finishes the season.
