Black's a guy that teams are going to liberally help off when he's planted in the corner.

Cole has to be defended as a shooter, but he's a guy who has basically no ability to do much of anything when he isn't pounding the air out of the rock.

Yes, teams want and often have multiple ball handlers on the floor, not arguing against that.

I'm simply saying those two guys and their respective skill sets are not a particularly good pairing.

I just think you and other posters have been WAY too caught up with positional definitions and this hasn't been a thing for the last 10 years. Every position isn't going to neatly overlap with people's skills until those players are on the team, and getting said players that fit in those slots like a glove isn't easy because tons of teams can use them.

Cole is definitely not someone who is going to make great reads more often than not, but he's not, say, some guy who can't make easy reads and is only shooting bad shots. Maybe the first few years but he can definitely run an offense decently.

Who can Black play with then is my real question?

I don’t mind some but he’s always the open guy. We need to get Franz open too. And if we want to win games, we’re going to have to trust the others too.
