Same story, different day. The Magic's lack of a point guard that can steady the offense and get players in their spots is glaring. Good teams are recognizing you don't have to defend 1, sometimes 2, of the players on the court at times and just load up on Banchero and Wagner. At the same time, guys just have to hit open shots. Wagner in particular. If he's going to be that guy, he can't be sub-30% from 3. Even our best shooters like Harris, can't go 4/30 in the month. Wendell Carter and Markelle Fultz aren't going to fix that issue.
At some point, something has to give. Expectations are to simply make the playoffs this year, and they'll probably achieve that by beating up on bad to mediocre teams. So I don't think there is any pressure to make a move. But this team is in no way ready for primetime unless they can prove they can shoot the ball with the best teams. This team is just desperate for a scoring guard that can run an NBA offense.
