I have seen enough to say that shooting limits our ceiling. Our offense is heavily based on iso ball predicated on drives to put a pressure on the rim without kickouts. Opposing teams adjusted to simply pack the paint and force turnovers.

It is on FO to get this team to the next level.

Let them turn 25.

If we don't fix it, by then they will ask out.

Moe was benched in the second half, and we looked better.

This.

Intrigued to see how the Magic FO resolves this because our team potential is handicapped. Really feels like the Magic are playing two lanes towards natural growth/development and trying to win. Gotta commit to a direction at some point.

The kids are earning respect around the L. They gave the Suns a lot of resistance on their court and it was acknowledged.

Let me ask you a question.. you think Tyus Jones is going to take the ball out of Paolo's or Franz' hands at the end of the game?

I think over the 5-6 minutes ( 7 minutes left in the game) we didn’t score a bucket he likely sets one up or hits a 3.

Truth is, we win this game if Suggs showed up like he usually does. It’s unfortunate.

and be the target for other teams to go after when on the floor

Stick Tyus next to Suggs at SG and we’ll be fine. Black is a rookie providing minimal, Gary is garbage 80% of the time and Cole is a midget microwave

What? They have to fix it by getting better with experience and age. Y'all kill me sometimes.. this team is not on the doorstep where they just make one move and contend. This is organic growth you're dealing with. Like a piece of fruit getting ripe.. it looks nice and shiny when it's on the vine but you know it won't taste its best.

It's by design by defenses in the 4th. We have little offensive threats out there outside of Paolo/Franz and they pack the paint on what usually works and dare us to make shots. Infinitely harder, especially in half court, to do what worked in the 1st half.

That's all it came down to.. the kid sucked tonight offensively. He knows it and he usually bounces back. They'll win one or two of these road games.

I don't.

OKC did both last year and didn't panic and are infinitely better this year.

Tough decisions going to have to be made soon.... Got to get some competent volume shooters around paolo and Franz, we spent all this time getting these chips and flexibility.... Got to cash in the chips at some point

If you're not acknowledging the offensive sets to close games out also help teams pack the paint you're not being fair. REMEMBER when you're dribbling the ball out beyond the perimeter all FIVE sets of eyes can ball watch.. easier for a team to plug the gaps.

Our starters are 19,22,22,21, and 24 years old. We should not be expecting much more than making the playoffs. In fact, making it alone is awesome at this stage of the rebuild.

Can’t wait that long to get those guys some shooters. That would be malpractice.

To me that doesn't mean guys should just be standing around.... I'm yelling at my screen somebody cut.... Set an off ball screen.... Something..... Anything other than ball watching

I'll concede if they can get a player who fits the timeline like Jones I'd support it just don't expect them to go away from Franchero iso ball at the end of games.

Return to Orlando Magic
