Ryan is UNTOUCHABLE! Jameer & Orton for Monta.... Why should we have to give up or 2nd best player for someone elses Star? F that.

Agreed. Asked him about his thoughts on a particular trade and responded with "it takes two to tango." we'll no sh*t. Thanks for stating the obvious.

As I agree Ryno has value the problem is that hes on a rookie contract where as he wont bring any upgrade by himself, we would have to throw Jameer or other high salary with him to bring in any real money player and jameer is just not a desirable player this season.

Oh and Otis also gave Phoenix $3mil in cash as well so theres still that :D

The Warriors want Jason Richardson.. and his contract, while long, isn't that bad... We just have to figure out what else they would want... w/o ryan

What do you guys think about this trade? I know its crazy and unrealistic because its so large and so many players involved, but it seems to help most of the teams involved and is centered around players rumored to be traded:

Magic give OUT:
Tukoglu, Nelson, Redick, J. Richardson, Anderson, and Orton

Magic get IN:
Ellis, Biedrins, Harris, J. O'Neal

New LIneup:
C: Howard/Biedrins
PF: J. O'Neal/Davis/Harper
SF: Q-Rich/Liggins
SG: Ellis/Wafer
PG: Harris/Duhon/Smith

Why: Although I think it makes our team worse in the long run, Otis has to pull the trigger on it if it gives us a shot at keeping Dwight longterm giving him the running mate he desires in Ellis and hoping the Harris-Nelson change in scenery works for us. It also allows us to hold onto our draft pick in a deep, talented draft class.

Utah gives OUT:
Jefferson, Harris, Miles

Utah get IN:
Rondo, J. Richardson, Turkoglu

New Lineup:
C: Kanter/Favors
PF: Millsap/Evans
SF: Turkoglu/Hayward
SG: J. Richardson/Bell/Burks
PG: Rondo/Watson

Why:
Utah gets the young stud PG they want in Rondo, and capitalizes on the depth in the frontcourt by gaining Turkoglu and J. Richardson's veteren experience to add to a mostly young roster that can compete both now and into the future

Boston gives OUT:
Pierce, Rondo, J. O'Neal

Boston gets IN:
Lee, Anderson, Redick, Nelson, Wright, Miles

New Lineup:
C: Lee/Bass
PF: Garnett/Anderson
SF: Wright/Pietrus/Miles
SG: Allen/Redick
PG: Nelson/Bradley

Why:
Boston realizes that they need to start rebuilding for the future now and get rid of the headache that is Rondo and with this trade find their current and possible future replacements for Pierce, Allen and Garnett in Wright, Anderson and Redick who each provide versatility with short contracts
while adding Lee and Nelson provide veteran experience and skill to provide the aging veterans with a last shot at a title this year

Golden State gives OUT:
Lee, Ellis, Wright, Biedrins

Golden State gets IN:
Pierce, Jefferson, Orton

New Lineup:
C: Jefferson/Brown
PF: Udoh/Orton
SF: Pierce/Rush
SG: Thompson/Rush
PG: Curry/Robinson

Why: They rid themselves of two bad contracts in Biedrins and Lee while still acquiring two allstars in Jefferson and Pierce to give the team a different identity and allow the owner to have his win-now philosophy he wants. Also, they finally get the proven center they have been looking for

We should give up our rights to Fran Vasquez, our 2012 1st round draft pick, and QRich for Beasley.

If Stan Van Gundy is our coach, then a draft pick unless it's a lottery pick is useless. We don't play young players anyways.

Ok all this Ellis talk has got me thinking bout the future and how the 13-14 season could be a good year for us if Dwight decides to stay came up with this

Ellis/ish
Jrich/Clee
Sjax/Liggins/Q
Jsmith/BB/Harper
Howard/Fran

I'm sure clee would love to come back Wed still have 3 open roster spots for some Vets we'd be ruffly around 72k not sure what the cap is and if Fran would be getting rookie contract but thats a pretty good lineup and I'm sure Fran could contribute like tiago splitter is

why torture us with that idea when it has a 1% chance of happening. if true that dwight is playing the role of gm then i can see us trading for sjax, but a monta trade seems far fetched at this point.

we DO have trade assets in ryno/jj/nelson with the biggest being our 2013 UNprotected lottery pick. otis would be a fool to trade that without getting dwight to opt in secretly though.

It's so ridiculous that anyone here wants to give up our 1st rounder for Beasley... especially in a draft where we could get a good player.

Also, love the Stan dig... CLee broke out with Stan. Liggins has been getting consistent time with Stan. Harper and Orton aren't ready..

Yes our 2013 unprotected is valuable but...if you can get back Ellis AND lee with that pick and our "assets" then u do it even if your unsure about Dwight.. Because the chances of dwight staying go way up and we can still make a splash in 2013 if we give up hedo

For being 53rd pick, still being on the team is usually good enough... to be getting the PT he's getting, and playing in 4th quarters even, that's bonus. Maybe consistent wasn't the right word. But he's playing, and playing alright minutes when he gets in.

how is Dwight walking for nothing worth more than tradable assets+pick(s) and swallowing at least 1 bad contract?

I never said that.

What The Nets are offering just is not enough.

Compiling the picks, Lopez to deal again, Brooks and losing two contracts would be a last resort although it would be better than nothing if we were 100 percent sure he was leaving and I think New Jersey would give all of that just to secure Williams and Howard as it's unlikely either would leave if they are together.
