Past two drafts I've been on edge waiting for a deal. First time was the infamous CP3 deal, last year was Josh Smith I think.

I think you guys should blame yourselves into looking too much into the war room's reaction lol. They obviously liked Harper and were happy to get their hands on him.

I feel if D-12 wants to go let him leave after the season , we won't get equally value . No need to add payroll to be stuck as middle of the road team ! Summer 2013 we will have $$$$$ to spend , an we can start over with who ever fits our system an wants to lead the team .

I am thinking about immidiate upgrades...cause this is the only way i see Dwight staying....

trade Turk+JJ for Boozer+#29....
Boozer's contract is bad but he is still contributing and would complement D12 well..

trade Glen Davis+J.Rich + #19 for Monta ....not sure if Milw. would do it, but they get a big man, a replacement for Monta and can move up with #12+#19 to get another big man.

Not so sure what to do with the PG/SF position now though...

maybe sign Sessions and sign and trade Ryno+next years pick for a decent SF

Houston aren't taking back more than 1 bad contract as they want to try and sign Deron if they ever trade for 12

Duhon doesnt have such a bad contract, it's high this season, but in the next one it's only 1.5M guaranteed, so i think we can trade him next offseason or even in this trade deadline along 3M in cash and a 2nd round pick for future considerations.

Orlando and Houston will never make any trades involving Dwight. You can book that. I guarantee it.

Why does every trade with HOU have us taking Martin back? Why would we want that? Dude is a scrawny scrub on a bad contract. Same can be said for Dalembert. And I doubt that team makes the playoffs. If we want to rebuild, then we shouldn't try to trade for a mediocre playoff team. It's the worst place for an NBA team to be.

I still say let Dwight walk because the return we get is going to be close to nothing in value unless it's a top 3 pick.

As a last resort deal, if we're still talking about contending in the near future, I'm still going with the Lakers. Bynum is still 23 who has proven that he has game. Put him in his own team and he'll average 24 ppg easily and grab 12 rpg. If we're talking about championships, we have to have a horse to ride through the playoffs. Bynum is the only one with potential in all of the "Dwight deals" to be that.

Trade Dwight, J-Rich for Bynum and future picks. Draft/sign a point guard. Then wait a year and sign Harden and Iggy in free agency.

Marshall/
Harden/JJ
Iggy/Q
BBD/Ryan
Bynum/

And let that team grow together for a few years and hope Bynum can become the horse he's capable of being.

I would keep Hedo and send JRich in that deal for Houston. Like Cedric said Houston will not take back 2 bad contracts so might as well keep Hedo because of his coming off the books next season.

I keep looking at this draft and I keep trying to figure out our pick but it just seems like it is too crazy to figure out. I just know that if Marshall or pj3 is still there then I think we would definitely have the steal of the draft. The more I look at pj3 the more I think he would be a better pick than Marshall. I know we need a pg but I think pj3 can be an awesome player if we can keep him motivated. Maybe we can do a trade to get another pick to get both players. Imagine both Marshall and pj3 on this team. Especially with some of the young players we have on this team now and add some free agents and this team can blossom really quick. We just have to get rid of a couple of bad contracts. I also think Malone as coach would help them and the rest of the magic youngsters become a really good defensively team. I think we are not far away from becoming the beasts of the east if we can keep Howard on this team. Then maybe we can pick up someone like m. Ellis to be the scorer we need.

A starting team of
marshall
Ellis
pj3
Ryan or bbd
Dwight

Thanks for this post man, I thought I was the only one who doesn't like Kevin Martin in a trade with Houston.

Not a bad player, but absolutely not as good as some say.

personally id rather have clee long run but houston i think wants to move martin because of conflicts with playing time so they would be more willing to throw him in in the deal. also i dont want him long term but as an asset to flip for a young player or a mid first round draft pick

I think his value in the trade is his 12 million dollar deal with 1 year left on it. If you get him now he might also play good enough to flip at trade deadline for more assets.
