Love that trade for the Rockets. Rumor had it they were going to cut Dalembert anyways (has a team option) and instead they get a young promising player in Jon Leuer and move up 2 spots. Bucs had a hole at center, win/win for both clubs.

lol give me a damn break. Some people want trades for the sake of trades. Oh, and I would say that Henny is being assertive - he just fired 9 people to improve our staff. That's pretty damn important.

how do you know we aren't being assertive? it's not like we have a plethora of assets that can be turned into something good... patience is a virtue

The man just cleaned house internally. I would say he is being assertive. I like that he is keeping it close to the vest, not blabbing our business out to the world.

I already feel better with him at the helm than Otis.

Jonathan Givony ‏@DraftExpress

After this latest Milwaukee/Houston move, I could see Golden State being more enticed to trade the #7 pick to Houston for #12 and #16.
Warriors could likely snag Tyler Zeller & Moe Harkless at 12 & 16, two guys they like, while the Rockets would likely go for Drummond at 7.

Magic GM Rob Hennigan isn't sure who of his limited staff will be in the war room with him on @NBA Draft Night.

Watch it be just Rob by himself sitting a chair in the room with one phone.

That actually sounds like a good thing to me

I'm hoping he invites Twardzik. He could have him sit in a corner and watch how a draft should actually be run.

Not sure why some of you are excited about that tweet. Isn't that the job of the GM? To make and receive calls?

Houston is going all out to get Howard. They are trying to get 2 top 10 picks. I'm guessing if they succeed, they will offer their two best players on their roster (I'm hoping they get Evans so we get him and Martin or Scola), those 2 picks, plus 2 future picks. If we can get a top 5 and another one just above 10, plus Scola or Martin and Evans, I take that deal. I would also throw them Hedo or JRich and Duhon.

That gives Rob 3 first round picks this year, a young stud guard in Evans, 2 future 1st rounders and a ton of cap space in 2013. Won't get much better than that for Howard IMO unless we can convince the Thunder to give us Westbrook, Ibaka and Harden for Howard.
