Just want to make you guys aware that from my conversation with Houston fans in GB, they believe their GM will not be taking both Hedo and J-rich off your hand.

Hopefully that's something that your GM really consider when evaluating Houston offer.

The picks are more important than the salary dump..cause either way we are goint to suck...

if we deal for Bynum on the other hand salary dump is very important...

Thats pretty much what we're all hoping from the management to realize.

Since our GM is Rob I believe he knows what he's doing, contrary to what would happen with Otis...

which was their offer on trade day, except you replace toronto pick with Lowry

I have been saying it before the draft, too. Houston has always seemed the best way to go. I respect those who want Bynum but I just do not see that advancing the team that much and is a serious injury risk. That would severely impede our progress. And Bynum can be a head case. I know there is no guarantee in the draft, either. But isn't that why we got Henny? His picks in this past draft look pretty good to this point. I would love to see what he could do with a few high draft picks. Plus I would LOVE to see Dwhiner doing this:

Yeh i think we will see ether a 3-way trade with you guys taking the Rocket's package, Dwight to LAL, Bynum to Rockets or Rockets/Magic deal directly. I just don't see you guys going through the whole ordeal again with Bynum (strong possibility) so it won't be Lakers/Magic directly.

This is coming from a Lakers fan lol.

What is this obsession with getting rid of Duhon and Q as the top priorities? Doesn't everyone realize that they don't really have almost any real effect on our cap situation (both now and long term)? Also, people do realize that when you "cut" somebody that their guaranteed money is still on the cap, right?

Duhon has this year (when we aren't signing any real free agents this summer anyways by being under the cap)....and then is only $1.5mil guaranteed next summer. Q has this year, and then has a player option for only $3mil next year (which he very well might decline if he isn't getting any playing time between the probable new young guns we would be getting in return for Dwight from Houston).

So they are really a drop in the bucket in terms of our salary cap perspective (especially long term). JRich and BBD are each owed $6mil+ for the next 3 years, all fully guaranteed (with JRich being a player option final year I believe). Hedo is owed over $12mil this year and then $6mil next summer on cap to still cut him. If we are going for cap room next summer, then moving Hedo/JRich are the bigger priorities if at all possible in order to clear more cap room (more so than Duhon and Q).

Don't get me wrong, I don't like Duhon on this team at all, but I'm just saying, don't let that cloud your judgment as to prioritizing his seeya-later status.

Also, if RICHIE RICH Devos (who doesn't seem to mind paying people large sums of money to NOT do their jobs....Gilbert, Stan, Otis) REALLY wants to clear a lil more cap room....they can always cut-and-stretch either JRich or BBD or both to clear up an extra $3.5mil/yr each or so in cap space.

You don't get it. Of course everybody wants to get rid of Turk and Jrich. But thats a lot of exprings that have to return it's almost impossible if you add Dwights salary on top of that.
Therefore if you cant dump Hedo and Jrich you try to dump Jrich and hopefully one or both of Duhon and Q.

Oh, no. I "get it", thanks. Just look at a lot of the responses above in terms of people listing who they would IDEALLY "prefer" to move the most. The question wasn't who do you think is realistic to be moved, and in what order....just look at the listings of priorities. Duhon is at the very top of almost all of them and Turk is near the bottom. Also, I don't think YOU "get it". LAL has the Odom TPE they can use to absorb JRich....not to mention if more people are involved (maybe Metta...Scola...Pau?), LAL could have more salary than just Bynum going out or Houston could absorb extra salary so that we can dump more contracts onto LAL or Houston or both.

WTF why yall wanna get rid of Q-Rich? I've even seen him ahead of Hedo and Duhon on people's list. He's got a good small contract and is a good player & cheerleader.

1. J-Rich
2. Hedo
3. Duhon

Rest can stay

WHY would anyone want to trade BBD?, he is gonna be an all star this year at $6M/year

with D12 moved to the west, BBD will be a top Center in the east

QRich isn't that bad. But I do understand why they want Duhon gone, He's pure garbage and isn't exactly a nice guy too. "I'm Rich bitchezzz" really? :-?

I also think some of us have a rather optimistic idea of what Houston's offering. They won't gut their entire roster for a Dwight rental .. More like Martin/2 young guys/Picks .. I don't think they're offering Lamb AND Parsons AND Jones AND White.

If they do, great for us. But I really doubt it. More like 2 of them. Which would still be good. Still better than Brook "Lean Mean Rebounding Machine" Lopez

On moving out contract.............

1) J-Rich- He has three years left.

2) Turkoglu- two years but can be bought out for half next summer (would count $6-7 Million). It's doubtful they can move him.

3) Duhon- Only $1.5 million guaranteed after this season and Magic would buy him out. Regardless, he should be bought out or banished this year if not dealt. He's an overpriced third-string point guard who has rubbed fans the wrong way.

4) Q-Rich- is under $3 million each of the next two seasons and The Magic could use some vets but also could use the roster spot for a younger player.

Glen Davis is a bargain at the contract he got last summer and could be moved easily. Players like him will keep this team respectable and able to not have a shot at breaking the Bobcats record for futility.

Jameer Nelson is here as a leader in the interim and can be moved again.

If The Magic do not make The Nets deal, this will be a fun young team to watch this team despite the struggles they will have.
