Although his defending of Vaughn at the end seems to reveal that he still harbors ill will towards the team and a lack of complete objectivity; I'm not sure how he can sit there and act like Vaughn's firing wasn't justified (i.e. "Jacque gave them everything that they wanted.")

Stan, and Jeff, are definitely bitter. It sucks because they have the broadest reach with their mouths, so they drive the narrative out there.

Stan is such a hypocrite he sickens me with this vendetta he has against us. He got his job because the Pistons fired Cheeks after 50 games for the exact reasons Vaughn got canned:

"Our record does not reflect our talent and we simply need a change," Pistons owner Tom Gores said in the team's release. "We have not made the kind of progress that we should have over the first half of the season. This is a young team and we knew there would be growing pains, but we can be patient only as long as there is progress.

"The responsibility does not fall squarely on any one individual, but right now this change is a necessary step toward turning this thing around. I still have a lot of hope for this season and I expect our players to step up. I respect and appreciate Maurice Cheeks and thank him for his efforts; we just require a different approach."

According to this site: https://weaksideawareness.wordpress.com ... s-and-gms/
The average career length of NBA coaches is 5.05 years. Between 2007-2011 it was 7.37 years

Seems like it should be a lot less right?

I don't mind SVG's butthurtness, we did him wrong. He could have a little more class about it but we all know his personality and that's why many of us liked him so much.

I wonder what the stats would be without Pop & Sloan.

Strange comments by Stan following his hints about the talent level on this team and how they could push the playoffs in the East if they wanted to. Perhaps he's just using it as an opportunity to criticize upper management and sports doublespeak. Fair enough.

There are/were a lot of long tenured coaches throughout the years. It's the haves and have nots. SVG basically acting like Jacque was some elite coach, it is pretty laughable, but like I said, he can be pissy if he wants towards us, I get it.

Fact is: Vaughn wasn't going to turn this around no matter how much time he was given.

SVG: "There's no such thing as a longterm Magic coach."

yeah, but to be honest, short of the Spurs you can say that about every coaching position in the NBA.

Yup. It's a mix of honest, bitterness, and Stan's personality. His comments don't bother me at all.

It's going to be hard for the organization to ignore this now. Question is, if he is the guy, do you bring him in at the AS break? Do you give Borrego a chance?

I don't know what was said or guaranteed to JB before taking the job, but I would bring Karl in today, interview him, test the market and then get things wrapped up before the AS break so Karl has a few days to get acquainted with everyone.
