Wholeheartedly agree. I find myself increasingly on the "move Gordon for a quality scorer as soon as possible" train.

I really do think Aminu, despite his early season status as the new board whipping boy, can absolutely give the Magic everything Gordon gives them on the defensive end and quite a bit more on the glass.

He been bad offensively so far, but if you look Aminu's splits this year as well as his career splits, he's always been more effective offensively the more minutes he plays. He just might not be wired to play 15-20 minutes a night.

Don’t forget Chuma. He wasn’t on my radar on draft night but I’m more and more excited about his about to contribute.

I’m not saying he would replace AG but Russell + Chuma could compliment our other pieces better than AG alone.

I'm a BIG Okeke fan.

He's a lot more like Isaac than people realize. Not saying they're identical players, but I think their strengths and weaknesses are pretty similar.

I see Okeke being another very versatile defender capable of defending in isolation or switching with quick hands to rack up a lot of steals and a few blocks. I don't think he'll be nearly as good of a rim protector as Isaac is, but he'll be a good defender overall IMO

Offensively I don't think he's going to be much of a dribbler in the pros. I see him as natural catch and shoot guy with good cutting. He'll need to be set up, but I believe in his jumper very much.

As much as we all love Isaac, if the Magic could get another guy very similar to him? Sign me up.

Yea what i saw from Chuma & checking his stats, he looks like a potentially better defender than Gordon (better instincts & BBIQ), while being a better 3point shooter on offense. My biggest questionmark about Chuma (next to the injury), is his height. Wonder if he really can play extended PF minutes in the NBA. For me he looks more 6-6 than 6-8, which means, he probably isnt as versatile as Gordon on defense, but more minutes for JI as a PF + Aminu should negate that.

If Chuma can partialy protect the rim in the mold of bigger Marcus Smart we are set defensively. One thing Okeke is good at that Gordon is not is posting up and passing out of the post. Clifford wants our offense to be inside outside and Gordon have problems to execute it consistently. I think Chuma fits perfectly into Cliffords scheme. Gordon is a good player but as we are constructed it makes a lot of sense to trade him at his peak value. Even raw offensively Isaac is taking the ball out of his hands slowly. I have a feeling Okeke will end up being better player than AG.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Nothing personal against Melo but I really hate his game.

Yet, I have declared Portland the team I’m rooting for in the west so this is a tough one for me. I guess him doing well means his team unfriendly playing style is behind him, he has accepted a different role and Portland benefits. Guess I can’t be upset with that.

I mean, Dwight seems to be pulling that off in LA ...

... and an early playoff exit.

Their system, built around Harden, doesn’t translate to 7-game series wins over better teams.

Well, if said better teams were some of the greatest teams in history, I'd be willing to cut them a bit of slack.

Now adding Westbrook, that's gonna be an issue.

Hey, at least we won that game against the Wizards which knocked us out of the 3 way tie with Dallas and Atlanta. That win certainly didn't have negative consequences./s

Well that "not built for playoffs" roster with Harden would probably be NBA champion in 2018 if Warriors didn't have 4 allstars roster as Houston was only team that challenged them.

I don’t see a Harden dominant team winning a championship in any year.

Had those players not assembled in GS they would have assembled elsewhere with different stars. The jerseys and names would have changed but a dominant foe would have stood in their way. At least one such team along the long playoff road would have been more balanced than the chucking Harden roster.

If Orlando can’t have him, I’m just happy I can walk to American Airlines Arena after work on home game nights for Box Seats shows to the Luka spectacle.

Leads me to this ...

Honest question:

You get your pick of Luka or Giannis (assume both are maxed out on a fresh 5 year deal). Who do you want to form a team around?
