Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
like i said....once these other teams start experiencing injuries to key players(unfortunately) that's when the race to the bottom will begin....we may have seemed to front load our tank

Sucks to be a Piston’s fan today. They didn’t need Cade out to be a bottom 5 team.

I would be very happy with a combo of Keyonte George, Thompson twins, Anthony Black and Jett Howard.
I'll be more pissed if the Bulls get top 4, than I would with us falling out. Seriously I'm way too invested in this pick, I'd be devastated if it doesnt convey lol
Nick Smith Jr?
Im not sure hes going to be a lead guard/starter so not a fan of using a high pick on him. Its still early though

I respect your opinion.
I take Nick Smith Jr over the Thompson twins!
Shooting over Athletic Ability!

Says he’s listed as a 6’7 F.
Is he starting over Wagner or Paolo?
Does he take Bol’s minutes?
Do you spend a top 10 pick on a bench guy?

He makes sense if he can play 2 next to Franz at 3. I dont think Bol will start next year.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I haven't seen a lot of Whitmore but he looks more like a PF than a 2 from here. I like bruisers...I'd love to draft a better shooting Dillon Brooks for sure.

Brandon Miller's stock has been falling for a while now but it looks like he's turned the tide with his last game. He posted 24 points, 8 rebounds, and a season-high 5 assists. Most importantly for him, he shot 3/5 from inside the arc.

falling for awhile? he had a bad stretch of games, but still scored in double figures in all but 1 game and was also rebounding strong. i like a player that figures out how to do other things on nights when the shot isnt falling

Re: 2023 NBA Draft Thread
Does this draft class kind of feel like the Zion/Ja class? Zion in a tier of his own and then Ja in 2nd tier alone, and then everyone else. I mean Amen looks really interesting, but I just don't know if we can take a swing on a guy that can't shoot, like at all. If he ever figured it out, who knows how good he could be, but I feel like we say that about all our players. All these guys after the top 2 have a lot of promise but warts too.
If we get two picks in the top 12, I am wondering if we just add talent to the wing and hope for the best. I think that plenty of these guys are going to be fine rotational guys, and probably a couple will end up hitting, just hard to see who is going to hit.
It's kind of hard to argue against Amen. Tall atheletic guys that can shoot usually find a way to be successful. At the moment I am leaning Cason Wallace. I mean Kentucky combo guards always turn out...right? Anthony Black looks pretty interesting. Brandon Miller looks like he can shoot, could we play him alongside Franz and Paolo?
This seems like it is going to be one of the more fun draft classes trying to figure out who goes where, because it seems wide open.

MasterGMer wrote:How do you guys like UCF's Taylor Hendricks? Dude has won AAC Freshman of the week three straight weeks and average more than 15.5 PPG as a freshman. Dude could be a excellent 3 and D SF/PF in the league with great defensive potential and he is a bucket getter. I know we are looking at Top 5 Draftees in 2023 NBA Draft. But if we somehow could draft in the teens, maybe we take a look. What do you think?
I don't know if he can play SF....He looks like a grown ass man, but he's shooting is 50% from 3 on over 4 attempts a game. Seems like someone to keep an eye on. I have no idea where his range is in the draft.
Wonder if any of the UCF guys watch their basketball.
