Could they give up LaMelo?
Black & Jett, 24, better of 25 and 26 (top 5 protected) 1sts.
LaMelo/Fultz
Suggs/Harris
Franz/Joe
PB/JI
WCJ/Goga/MWags

STILL under the CAP next year. Just let Fultz,Harris and Okeke come off the books.
LaMelo would make life easier for PB and Franz. A Bit injury prone though.
Of course, on a winner it might be different.

ESPN Bobby Marks some trade ideas for us:

"Trade we would like to see: Two separate trades. The Magic send Harris and the 2025 Denver first to Sacramento for Kevin Huerter. Orlando receives Jonas Valanciunas and Dyson Daniels from New Orleans for Carter and Okeke."

Upgrading Harris with Huerter is a no brainer. The second one gives me pause.

Why are the Hornets trading their best player by a wide margin for scraps?

It feels like everyone else around us in the standings are all making moves.

NYK, Indy, and Miami all getting better. The Hawks seem likely to make a move and retool on the fly.. The Bulls look likely to do a tear-down.

The FO is really going to sit on their hands and fight for the 9/10 seed, aren’t they?

Or at least trying, which is more than you can say for our front office.

The first one is a no brainer. That 2025 Denver 1st is gonna end up being somewhere in the 25-30 range. Not super valuable. Huerter is a legitimate starting SG in the NBA.

The second one... you have to be very sold on Daniels as a long-term piece. He definitely fits the Weltman model, but how much different is he actually from Anthony Black?

First one ok but Jesus, these guys just throw mediocrity out there and act like it’s apple pie.

I wish we went for Terry Rozier, that price wasn't high at all

Our low end cost trade target should be Tyus Jones, higher value should be Dejounte Murray

I'm not the highest on Huerter. His shooting last season was carried by a insane start then came back to Earth around the all star break and shot like **** the rest of the season/playoffs

His shooting this season reflects him more. He's a skightly below avg defender, pretty much I wouldnt trade a 1st for him at all. 2 2nds I'd potentially do

I mean dyson Daniels was the #8 overall pick just last year, id be willing to take a chance on him, and JV would be a very nice pickup to try and make a run this year and has been a very underrated player for a long time. I think he fits in with this team better than carter. Hes like Goga, but better
Carter is very nice player on a great contract, but hes always injured. Hard to rely on the guy, so if we can trade him and get a solid center and a high upside PG, i dont see the downside.
okeke is literally just a throw in, i doubt he has any real standalone trade value and is gone after the year anyways

they even did some razzle dazzle and have Trae out on "concussion" protocol instead of a standard injury

I'm down. Let him and paolo patch things up. lol

not sure what it's going to take.... but we will see. I'd probably try to include cole in the deal. Preferably if i had a bench guard... i would rather fultz with the current group we had. Hope that Murray's defense is still intact ... as we'll need him to be average to above average at the least. Harris + Cole and a couple picks?

Outside the Lakers and Magic, I'm struggling to find a viable trade partner for Murray anyway.

I guess maybe the Knicks and Nets could have some interest?
