That's just an example of how just about everything is dictated by personnel.

Adrian Griffin had a good record with the Bucks but the vibe was off and they made a move, Doc came in, they kinda sucked last year. Slightly better this year but still just eh.

Suns fired Vogel for losing in the first round and then hired Budenholzer and have a worse team.

So, I mean, if we just want to play merry-go-round with coaches just to "make a move" .. sure?

Coaches can lose their players a lot faster than you seem to realize.

And once it’s gone, the odds of it ever coming back are pretty slim.

I’m not saying definitively we are there yet with Mosley, but it sure seems like it’s trending in the direction that what he’s selling these guys they just aren’t buying at the moment.

Bro named 3 coaches that absolutely shouldn’t have been given head coaching jobs as examples as to why Mosely should stay.

Paolo’s mom was a basketball player… she is not just ‘Paolo’s mom’. She was Washington’s all-time leading scorer and was drafted into the WNBA. She has every right to voice her educated opinion.

Don’t put me in that crowd, lol. Those two are the best scoring options, they need the shots lol.

Everyone is getting mad at Mosley because of the offense, but my goodness, these guys aren't hitting OPEN shots. These players have to take responsibility and accountability for that.

Is that even her real account anyway? If so then that's interesting, she also isn't just some mom, she played pro. Can't lie, there is quite some truth in those tweets... Roles not defined at all, no system.... Man I can't call it......

She's right for the most part. Neither forward is getting clear offensive roles and way too predictable of spots/plays for pre-game scouting/prep.

There are lots of players with parents who played basketball....but that don't mean they need to air their grievances in public. Not this, this cause a riff between the players because now they think the roles are defined based on whose parents or agents are loudest. That's never a good thing in a team sport.

I think I'm gonna take a break from this Magic social media before I say stuff I don't wanna. Just think we're making the same mistakes we've been making over the last 10 years. People overreact, team makes dumb decisions personnel and coaching wise, we barely improve or get better, people are like "wtf I didn't ask for this" two seasons later (while asking for it) and we become some re-tread team full of panic moves.

Doesn't help I'm caretaking an elderly family member who has had major health issues lately and the last thing I need on top of a physically taxing and stressful day-to-day is something emotionally taxing like a game.

I'll tune into games here and there but the product isn't fun and the discussion seems reductive and short-sighted.

Yup. She’s just calling it as it is. She’s not being disrespectful she’s just a basketball player seeing pisss poor basketball with no structure, no roles, no PG, no plan and every single reasoning of this leads back to Weltman and Parker.

The thing is, I wouldn't want him fired in-season though, since I have never taken the rest of our staff seriously whatsoever. Having one of them take over as interim would be laughable. So considering I expect Mose to 100% open the season as our coach, I wouldn't personally start wanting to part ways until summer 2026, and that's only if next season is a failure.

Would probably be that goof ball Jesse murmeys or what ever his name is taking over. When ever they interview him I get the feeling he knows nothing about basketball (obviously he does). I get the feeling he just a "good human being".

I'm sorry to hear about your elderly relative. I hope it gets easier for the both of you.

No.

People are getting on Mosley (at least I am) because the things the Magic did really well under him in the past (defense, rebounding, effort, physicality) are all SIGNIFICANTLY worse than they were last season and even as recently as like December of this season.

The offense has always been bad, that’s frustrating, but that’s not a new development.

What is a new development is the team unable to get stops. What is a new development is the team getting flat outworked in basically every game.

I’ll say it again… if Mosley can’t get these guys to do those effort/energy/togetherness related things he used to be able to get them to do, then he doesn’t need to be here.

Eh this isn’t like Lonzo Ball’s father just lashing out nonsense. These are pretty evident and true basketball observations.

Yeah, I think this is matter of who you talk to. There is no general consensus. There are some who don’t mind him taking shots but just want him to be more efficient while doing so and there are others who like the limited approach.
