Yeah, with all the trade rumors flying around (and you know some of these guys know they are on their way out), this won't be pretty.

I kinda hope the trade goes down today.....then it won't hurt so much, lol.

IIRC, we traded Rashard/VC/Gortat/Pietrus on the day of a game with Philly, right?

There are no anomalies here; Stephen Jackson is old, doesn't have much left in the tank, is owed $10 mil next season (when he'll be 35). And, he SUCKS. Why you guys are infatuated with him (regardless of what Dwight says) is beyond me.

Nobody is "infatuated" with him....it's simply basically a Hedo-SJax swap, and I think a lot of people have no problem doing that if it helps keep Dwight. Hedo hasn't had a "major injury" but don't you think that back spasms, elbow issues, etc etc (all the little minor things he keeps dealing with) probably affect him a bit? Just look at the end of last year compared to the beginning of this year. He was way more productive at the beginning of this year when he was completely healthy than at the end of last year when he was dealing with minor issues. Rashard had KNEE SURGERY. What are you talking about, acting like he is perfectly healthy.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wiz ... _blog.html

question: Is rashard healthy now? If so, look at his production this year compared to other years. /discussion.

Did you read the link at the end of my post? No, he isn't healthy now. It's cut and dry. Read the article.

That's the question. There is NO ONE better (available, anyway).
He and Stan seem to have a good relationship, though I guess it's hard to tell.

Also, I agree with the poster who said that if the rumor is true, then SVG should quit. How can you coach someone when you know they have the power to fire you? It would be a complete slap in the face, and I would be sad to lose him, but he doesn't deserve this.

I highly doubt it's true, though. We aren't that type of organization.

Looking at it from a different perspective; According to Kyler, doesn't it make sense as to why Otis almost traded him before the season for garbage and why Stan wants to ship him out. Could they know if Dwight stays, they're gone, so why not try to ship him out to save your job? All rumor, for now, but still interesting to ponder.

Dwight is an ass. SVG is top 5-7 coach in the league and he wants him gone cause he yells too much and holds everyone accountable. Every player that plays for SVG says he's one of the best coaches out there and he always has his team ready for a game. Wade said Stan was his fav coach of all time. Stan doesn't deserve this crap, if true.

no doubt.

Think about it. We are talking about Hundreds of Millions in revenue that Dwight can generate for a team. If I was the Lakers or Nets, I would spend a Million dollar campaign for ESPN writers, bloggers, twitters to publish false reports to make a team look bad. Think of it as sort of like playing the lottery but with better odds.

The Magic organization is a big family like environment. Sure, he may no longer be the GM of our team but he will still be part of the FO one way or another.

Just like DeVos's son-in-law is still part of the organization?

Right.

We have to get a deal done today or early tomorrow. If not, Dwight is gone by thursday.

Without a doubt. If Stan ever became available he would become the hottest candidate out there. Teams would be letting coaches go to have a shot at hiring him....

SVG IS a top 5 coach, period, end of story. He's the greatest coach the Magic have had and probably will have for many, MANY years to come. He achieves so much with so little, and turns role players into guys who's name you'd recognize. He can also turned guys who never played a lick of D into decent to quality defenders.

Sure he yells, and it DOES probably get tiresome, but it's for motivational purposes. When you get relaxed and let 20 pt leads dwindle in the 3rd quarter, that's going to happen. I'm sure if you walk into his office on the day off, he doesn't immediately yell and act like an ass. This is beyond childish.

My boss doesn't cater to my needs. My manager pushes me to be the best I can be at my job. That is THEIR job.

Let Dwight walk IF the swine known as Bucher actually got legit info. SVG is more important to the organization, and would take our next batch of crap and turn it into a .500 team at best.

I don't think Dwight would sign off on firing SVG... I don't think he wants that kind of pressure or the backlash that would come from fans.

Despite Orlando's efforts to appease Dwight Howard by acquiring Monta Ellis, GSW owner Joe Lacob has no interest in the deal, sources say.

That's a good point, actually.

Especially with Otis, the hostility is obvious, remember all the subtle jabs he has been taking? And also trying that (Please Use More Appropriate Word) trade.....

I mean, really, Dwight/Duhon for Wallace/Lopez? What the hell is he smoking? I don't care how bad of a GM he is, anyone with eyes can see that that deal is beyond terrible.

Ken Berger ‏ @KBergCBS
Lacob won't send Ellis to Orlando and help the Magic keep Howard. Lacob wants to preserve chances, however slim, of getting Howard himself.

First off, Lacob can kiss my ass. This team has no reason to have Ellis if Dwight isn't here.

Second.......what does Stan mean by that? Kinda cryptic.

advertising campaigns are far from the lottery.

i would even have people post on internet boards. some important historical dude said something like the wars not being lost on the battlefield, but behind the lines.
