i heard that it was a 3 team deal centered around duhon, crawford and chris paul.

no its my first impression, crawford said he wanted to play for orlando, at the deadline orlando was linked to crawford, so im just blaming alex on this one, of course thats my judgement

sorry Dj just messing with you :D

+1 ... an outside hire with experience

that would make the most sense in this situation, but we are talking about the orlando magic, nothing we do makes sense, i wouldnt mind a guy with experience, to much unknown with foyle

Brian K. Schmitz ‏ @MagicInsider
Magic want to sign Dwight Howard longterm, but under their conditions after what went down this season.

Brian K. Schmitz ‏ @MagicInsider
Key Magic source: "I don't think Dwight (Howard) wants to be here."

Brian K. Schmitz ‏ @MagicInsider
Magic will again entertain more than NJ and LA as Dwight Howard suitors. They realize the troubling maturity issues with Andrew Bynum, too.

THIS WILL END WELL. ALL OF IT.

imagine this scenario for a second, what if stan steps down as head coach, otis steps down as GM, otis decides he wants to coach and is hired as the new magic coach, and stan takes a step back and becomes orlando's GM..

Magic would love a superstar in return for Dwight Howard, but they have many needs. They want veteran package and contract relief in deal.

Confirmed.

Please don't hire Adonal. The fact that he is an articulate speaker doesn't even necessarily translate to general intelligence far less a complex mixture of personal relationships among other NBA GMs, business savvy, scouting ability and financial expertise.... Please god don't F*** around with this and just hire a proven GM... My GOD!

The success of the Lakers and Celtics has been based almost solely on NBA GM connections (Jerry West and Kevin Mchail) then you have the Spurs who have had fantastic scouting and financial planning... There you have the majority of the championships of the last decade.... Yeah, let's just hire Adonal Foyle!!!

it's fine to prefer experience, but let's not get too depressed here. we don't really know how well foyle will do in the GM role.

Sure, let's add age to this old unathletic group... I have zero faith in the Magic right now.

Maybe the veteran part was misleading, perhaps we just want some guy with 25-28 old that could make we compete right now for a title, DeVos doesnt want to go though another rebuild, IMO.

So in other words, Otis is thinking to himself "Boy I'd love to get LeBron in return for Dwight, but I'll settle for Boozer and Deng."
I like this team
