As bad as Vaughn is, I'm losing faith in these players. I see no pride in them. I don't care how bad the coach is, these players got outworked again tonight, and it happens almost every game now. They just got beat by a bunch of scrubs on 10-days, and not once did they look like they wanted it. If you have character and heart, you don't jake it just because the coach is bad. You don't quit because you're frustrated.

After 2 1/2 years of being the worst team in the league, no players are going to give it their all while knowing the coach doesn't have them prepared to beat teams.

The forward spots are not working. Frye is a 7-footer starting at the PF spot, and he's averaging 4.7 rebounds a game. Tonight, Marble, Harris, A. Gordon and O'Quinn had 8 rebounds TOTAL. Tobias 29 minutes, 2 rebounds.

I wouldn't be too hard on the players:

Payton - A rookie that's still trying to figure things out (and competitive as hell)
AGordon - Pretty much the same
Dipo - A second year player that brings it night in, night out. Still going through growing pains developing his craft
Vuc - He occassionally does slip into "I don't care" mode but I think that's more like "I can't do this on my own" or "This coaching plan sucks"
Harris - He's competitive. He may not play the right way all the time (i.e. sometimes he's selfish) but he does care

That's our core. I'm not worried about it. JV just doesn't have the eyes and ears of these players anymore.

Unfortunately there is a losing culture that is being enabled by JV super niceness and his ineptitude as a coach. A team that has almost 40 losses with a bad rookie coach and 10 day contract players look more cohesive than us really running offensive sets. I keep saying it every game that our team defense is so putrid because our coach has non idea what he is doing.
