This, I support the team always, players come and go. That being said, I hate the thought of the baby getting his own way.

Looking forward to Meer and BBD driving this crap train next year though.

I hope Hennigan is not panicking.

All we have to do is tell Dwight... "If you want to play in Brookly, then you can sign with them in the summer for their MLE, cause we're NOT trading you there."

Then see who caves in first about him playing in Orlando. I think Dwight is more afraid of starting the season in ORL than the Magic are afraid of him starting the season in ORL.

Jason Kidd even at his age can go off for a triple double, I`m tired of every opposing Point Guard abusing Nelson in the post and I want someone who can give Dwight easy points. Howard always beats his man down the court but Jameer Nelson is always dribbling with his head down and never finds him.

Unfortunately, Dwight's public refusal to resign anywhere but Brooklyn has put us and other teams in a tough spot.

If I am the Lakers, I would be willing to take the risk on Dwight. Dwight would fit much better with the Lakers with the addition of Nash. The last thing a starting lineup of Nash/Kobe/Hill/Gasol needs is a scorer who needs the ball in his hands (Bynum). A starting lineup of Nash/Kobe/Hill/Gasol/Howard could make a deep run in the playoffs this year.

If LAL offers Bynum for an unextended Dwight, you take the deal and run.

Houston was willing to take that chance. Not sure if they still would. We apparently have wasted time trying to accommodate that infantile malcontent with a trade to the Nets for a couple of players stiffer than cadavers.

That's cause you're more interested in winning next year than trying to rebuild through the draft and clear cap space.

Yeah, you're right. Even though I've been one of the biggest supporters of trading for Bynum and cutting salary I don't want to clear cap space.

REBUILDING WITH A 39 YEAR OLD PG ON A 3 YEAR CONTRACT SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA!!!

between these jason kidd comments and your strange obsession with jason thompson replacing Dwight i'm not sure I can take you seriously anymore, sorry

Brian K. Schmitz @MagicInsider

Let me see if I got this right: Lakers are afraid of Dwight Howard's back, but Nets are falling all over themselves to get him.

Does Dwight's back only act up when anybody except the Nets talks about him? Plus, when did Andrew Bynum become Cal Ripken?

You are right, he will be a backup there, the same spot Duhon fills here and at same money. The only problem is that he will be 42 when his contract ends.

I know! ... I was excited about getting Marion and Joe Johnson (and I think someone else) for T-Mac way back then... our team would've been sick

Whatever we're going to do with Howard just let me know before the weekend. I don't care if Henny wants to keep him, if he does, fine, just tell me.

Magic hold the cards despite what is being rumored. Dwight can't get to Brooklyn unless we trade him there. WHY THE HELL ARE WE TRADING HIM THERE????

I believe Rob's plan is pretty simple. He is asking the Nets to get him a 3rd team to not only take KH, but also take JRich and Hedo (we may very well take KH and move BBD). In return we get 3 to 5 1st round picks, Lopez (10 million) and Brooks. In total we take on about 12 million in salary. With Hedo and JRich gone, the Magic are still in position to have around 30 to 35 million in cap space to spend in the summer of 2013, along with a couple of 1st round picks. We would already have Nelson, BBD or KH, Nicholson, Quinn, Lopez and Brooks on the roster.

I think this is his vision of rebuilding the team with a quick turn around if we indeed have to deal with the Nets, plus get youth in the process. Whether it happens or not is another thing all together. He may just get sick of it all and tell Howard to prepare to play for the Magic in 2012-2013, pretty much daring him to leave a ton of money on the table by walking. We'll see.
