You can't think of anything better to spend A QUARTER OF A BILLION DOLLARS on (like helping people)?

Yup. I'm hyped about Black, sour on Howard.

Howards saving grace as we knew he wasn't the type to carry a team and that the summer league roster is abysmal. I don't know how this can even be called a "developmental" league.

In absolute fairness.

I can wrap my head around numbers up to 10 million.

After that it gets harder and harder to understand how to manage that kinda money.

Understanding what to do with 50 million is a lot easier of understanding 300 mil but thats just terms of scale of "imagining that much cash in my house" kinda vibe.

However the biggest thing I will say, is money is like a truth serum in that it magnifies who you are.

What would I do? Take the money probably. I like the idea of taking care of my childrens children children if I do it right. But I also only have 2 kids.

Otherwise, if its childrens children i'm after. 50 mil and the story of grandpa winning fortune and glory would be fun and has its own price.

Give your kids grandkids and the future generations a brighter future.

You don’t have to spend all of that money. Lol you can save it.

Its not like you’re stealing the money, its being handed to you as a reward for the hard work you put in.

Now its up to you how to spend it.

Man this hit me hard.

Every time my son makes a joke and it involves someone speaking Spanish.

I want to remind him so badly how much Spanish speaking people (IE his Father / Grand Mother / Great Grand Mother/Father ) sacrificed so he could sit here in absolute ignorance and spout crap English like that.

What I mean is I rather have a ship and 10-15 million a year than no ship and 300 million. Why well because if I win a ship I have accomplished something that money can’t buy, still have money and the ability to grow after because I helped my team get to a ship which could result more growth professionally and financially.

Got to play the long game here. Not just financially but mentally. You also can be charitable at the same time. Sometimes charity is helping those right in front of you. Guidance. Wisdom. Those things are priceless.

Naaaaah even i admit im doing it for fun. Wait for the regular season to see how they do. George is playing behind Sexton and Clarkson while Jett is behin Franz and Ingles.... maybe even Houstan.

We will see how they do with proper teammates and opponents. Which one of then is smart to understand nba plays and etc

You can say that NOW but if you were in that situatio ? I doubt it.

15m a yr with a ring for say 3 years? Thats 45m in nba contract but really just maybe 20-30m NET money.

If you are in that select pool of people where you live in 3-5m homes, have cars and etc for another 2m... plus your usualy vacations... thats gonna burn up fast.

Unless you totally cut yourself off from the nba life and be like adam morrisson bunker lifestyle.

I'm child of war, father went in war, mother worked, i was born in basemant due arial attacks near hospital, first 4 years raised by basically single mother and grandparents .
We didn't have much but still whenever i talk to them, and many elderly people those times were best times in their lifes, because they felt like they were fighting for something bigger than them.

Later in life i had opportunity to spend lot of time with families who lost their loved ones and people who know they are on their last days. Non of them ever regrets not making enough money. They regret not spending time with families, not visiting places, not doing more crazy stuff in their youth, not doing more to save some relationships, but nobody ever talks about money.

This doesn't mean i find money worthless and encourage some live in woods without electricity lifestyle, i just think money simply won't give you happiness nor fulfil you.

If you make $50M you can still help lot of people ,more money people have , more they are prone to just buy random things they don't need. I LOVE basketball, i, personally, would prefer $50M and championship than max contract. And my children will know money doesn't grow on trees and they will need to bust their a** to make some, not just rely on daddy to bail them and give them everything. I think it's worst possible parental behavior out there, enabler for parasite children.

I saw some statistic that near 60% of former nba players are broke. You think they are broke because they helped their community or because they pissed off money on things that have rapid lose of value & are impossible to sell if it's needed?

For people earning less than 120k a year, they probably have a hard time understanding how to live those earning 350k a year.

Those earning 350k a year have a hard time understanding how those living 800k a year and so on and so forth.

But if you are in that group of 800k a year, you will not want to go back to the 350k a year anymore. Those with 120 are alright looking at the used car shops while those with 350 are used to gping at toyota dealerships while those at 350 probably goes to the bmws or something... and so on...

Most lottery winners piss off their money not because they keep up with "nba lifestyle" nor because they don't live in bunker, but because they engage in several of activities such are:
white powder
ladies of a night, delux edition
sugar-daddy-ing
new founded 5000 close relatives
not knowing how to put condom on
boredom

Last one is underrated problem. When you have everything, you need to move the needle further to feel thrill ( basically bottom root of every gambling problem and why gamblers double their bets over time despite fact they are constantlly losing )

You doubt because you wouldn’t.

I could live quite well making 5-10 million a year. I live pretty well now. I do not care about the “NBA life” nor do I care or value that life as some final destination to what would make me happy.

The mental challenges of becoming a champion would something I place a greater value in. Mental challenges are more valuable then to me than multiple cars and homes and fame. They carry unseen value that can be passed on long after money is spent.

Would I turn down 300 million? Depends. What sacrifices would I have to make? There’s always strings attached. If I played the lottery and won 300 million I wouldn’t reject it. I wouldn’t succumb to it either.

Could we pretend and imagine an 82 game season where Isaac is healthy.....

Would we for sure be a playoff caliber team?

Between Black, Suggs, Isaac, and Franz Wagner and if Paolo plays anything near pedestrian defense we could have a crushing defensive team.

If we have Isaac for half of our games, that's enough to get us into the playoffs. If we got him for a full season, we could be contenders. He's still by far, our best 2 way player on the team. The few games he played last season made our team look like they could kick anyone's ass.

Contenders? That's a bit much. However, if you told me we got the 6th seed I'm betting an awful lot on Isaac playing injury free all season.

I wouldn't be afraid of Miami. Isaac can neutralize Bam and then they would become a team that relies on the 3 too much.

I'm doubtful of our rookies being major helps, but if they can give something, anything, then there's hope.
