He's practicing from the spots where he should receive the ball.... but is always asked to start from above the 3 point line... cool

coaching issue to me, maybe it's a trust issue that coach doesn't trust our guards enough to set the table....We should be in Horns anyway but for whatever reason Paolo is always starting from the 3pt line....it's frustrating to see....Free throw line extended makes it a bit harder for the defense to load up

It's the Dead season.

Interested to see who gets the final 2 Two-Way Spots.

Here's hoping one slot goes to a classic SF.

Is there a pre-season trade to be found this year as well? It will be interesting.

Indiana extends TJ McConnell and he’s now on their books for 5/54… makes me sad that we have Cole making more per season. The only good news is that Cole only has this upcoming season and next guaranteed. If he doesn’t improve, the FO needs to find a replacement (or hope AB develops into that guy but I’m no longer high on AB’s PG abilities in the league).

Shaq was recently in my country promoting his brand of sneakers and it ended in a little scandal. He didnt care during interview to such degree the journalist made another video to apologise and speak about what really happened behind the scenes.... How he was rude, treated people the wrong way, didnt fulfill his business duties. I know retiring his number was business decision but its frustrating. At least i always prefered Penny, i hope he is not the same way....
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Again, we need to stop treating Paolo as if he is Zion on where he gets the ball. Guy just needs to use his strength more period, no finesse stuff. We see how hard he attacks the basket sometimes. He likes mid-range/perimeter more, and no, he's not being told to not drive lol.

Once he realizes that, he is a 26/27+ ppg easy.

One thing I take from this metric is that, compared to Gilgeous-Alexander, Antetokounmpo and Dončić both need to be MORE invloved in their team's offense. That's crazy to write, but at their respective FG% lines, they both need even more shots.

And a p.s. about Brunson spot on this metric, the Knicks need to pray everyday that he stays healthy. His shots cannot be easily replaced at such a volume. The sam is true for OKC and Gilgeous-Alexander.

Partly also because the lane is easily clogged without shooters to help Paolo.

Same shooters don't appear to have that effect on Franz's drives, though. Paolo lacks finesse and is usually straight line drive in teeths of defense. He needs to work on his game, adding some more post moves, and improve his understanding on when to drive, when to postup and when to shoot.

I’ve thought about this too, but Franz actually has size advantage against his defenders. Paolo isn’t. His advantage is really just his strength.

I mean.. Franz at 6'11 is a handful for any SF in the league. Couple that with his shifty euro step and there you go....

But mostly i kinda think the best " big man" defender of the other team is on Paolo and thus we can see why...

That's the thing, Franz is not really using his size to overpower defenders like Paolo, but instead relies on 'shifty eurostep'.

Franz uses his length/reach to finish as well as anyone...he's just so fundamentally sound at the rim -always fully extended.

Paolo is still the greater offensive threat and, generally, going to draw the best frontcourt defender(s). I don't think there's much of a national debate about Franz vs Paolo (as there seems to be here). Whoever's outside shooting takes a bump up could become the top scorer though...both create a lot of gravity inside.

He is actually. I mean, the turnaround stab/hook shot is kinda using your size knowing that your opponent can't block it.

It is this combined with the idea that he's initiating at the point of attack from the perimeter and NOT being put in better spots on the floor from someone to set the table for him.

He's never going to increase his fg % attempting to finesse everything by going downhill into the paint against 2-3 bodies.
