NJ has the second worst record at 3-11 and i can't imagine how bad it will be at the deadline.

IF We trade him, Turk and Doo-hon are going with him.

I CANNOT understand WHY the Magic brass (if reports are true) and Fans would WANT to include Turkoglu's contract INSTEAD of Duhon+QRich+either of JRich or Baby's (possibly even Jameer's).

Turk is basically on a 2-year deal. More importantly,He actually contributes to us winning games. Cut the DEAD WEIGHT long term deals , NOT Turk.

Besides THAT how MASSIVE would the hole at SF be if we kick out Turk???? We would be dead in the water.

Dwight for Jordan + Griffin + Bledsoe. Ship it. Then trade Jameer + Turk + Jordan for Josh Smith + Joe Johnson. Our team:

Bledsoe/Duhon
Johnson/JJ
JSmoov/JRich
Ryno/Harper
Griffin/BBD

Boom.

Starting to think we might have a legit shot at deron...both teams in the same situation more likely for deronto join the better team then have Dwight go to a bad team.... Btw any chance we can sign deron straight up over the summer

Crap....well if he isn't evening producing, maybe we should only play him on Sunday matinee games?? ;)

His last 5 games or so really haven't been that bad at all. I mean he will get you about 20-6-4. He is way better than Rashard. We could also just try to flip Jordan for JSmoov straight up. That would leave us with

Bledsoe/Jameer
JRich/JJ
JSmoov/Hedo
Ryno/Harper
Griffin/BBD

That's a crazy deep team. Maybe have enough cap room in Summer 2013 to go after Monta+Iggy?

I havent run the exact cap holds and such....but if we let JJ Jameer and Ryan go, bought out Hedo...it actually doesnt seem like it's THAT far off that we could actually go after both of them?

How sick would

Bledsoe
Monta
Iggy
JSmoov
Griffin

be??

If we traded Jameer for a Hinrich/Andre Miller expiring, waived JJ this summer, and then cut JRich and BBD (or traded either for expiring, which is doubtful). It would be pretty close then to having the room to sign DWill.

Even with a possible big offer sheet for ryno

highly unlikely, otis screwed that up giving $50mil to BBD and Jrich..he would have to do serious work and trade for some expirings

Guess it depends on exactly what his offer sheet was...we are around $65mil in salary now. If we let go of JJ, thats $6mil off, traded Jameer for $8mil expiring, cut/stretch JRich and BBD, thats about another $7 off. So that would get us to around $44 in pure salary.....would need some more movement because of cap holds, but it isn't absurdly far off at that point. What would be nice would be if Dwight and Dwill would agree to take a little less, like $15mil each since they'll be saving on taxes anyways. Not gonna happen tho :(

To be honest though....if you gut the team with all those moves....you're basically left with DWill+Dwight+Hedo+Ryno and a bunch of super scrubs with no cap room to do anything. Is that enough? I doubt it. That's basically a little bit better than what NJ would be with just Dwill + Dwight and none of us think that's enough there.

Otis should target a couple stars, and say here, take your pick of players, jameer, Anderson, hedo, Jrich, BBDavis,Wafer, Orton, Clark, Fran, Qrich, Dudu, liggins, and some first rounders to sweeten the deal..

We could get??? Maybe 40 year old kg?

Good news I just realized: Magic play the Spurs Wednesday on day 3 of their back-to-back-to-back, who play the Heat tomorrow. Then Magic play the Lakers Friday, who play the Heat Thursday. That should help us out a little bit.

"'Whatever you decide, people are gonna dislike you, but you have to live for you.' And it's good advice. I just told him, 'I want to do whatever I can do to win.'"

I just read this quote from what Melo told Howard about getting traded. I'm pretty sure that if he decided to stay, hardly anyone would dislike him for it.

Sources? The Sources should open up their mouth and say who the sources are?

Unless, Dwight, his agent or a Magic representative has something to say, it is all complete speculation. Probably some kid from LA who tweeted or Blogged his wishlist.

I have been reading closely at this articles.

It is blatantly obvious, the sources are in Dwights camp, when things are prefaced w/someone with "knowledge of talks w/all parties" it's freaking dwight. Orlando is one of the most secretive front offices in the league.

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

WT is reporting that the Kings may not see Jason Thompson in their long-term plans, and won't be offering him an extension. I think he'd be a decent pickup - still only 25 years old, he's 6'11, 250, and could serve as a genuine backup to Dwight rather than playing BBD or Ryno there in spots. Also has decent enough faceup skills and mobility, so could play alongside Dwight at times, too.

He would need extending after this season as an RFA, though - no idea what kind of money he would be looking for.

I would love to have Thompson, at the right price of course.

Really?
I watched most kings games the past 2 years and hes a pretty soft jumpshooter who doesnt provide much presende as far as help defense, also he have a pretty strange facial expression most of the time.

I guess he would be better than nothing but I dont suppose the kings would trade him for any of our bench guys other than redick.

Honestly I don't see a problem with SVG like I see it with Otis! Ex: SVG would out coach Phil Jackson (if both are given this Magic roster). anybody else disagree?

SVG is a better XO guy, but nobody motivates his players better than Phil.
