I could do the T-shirt thing. Yours could say the same thing just with Nerlens Noel. I could be a total dick and make one that said "I slept with Nerlens Noel" or something like that, but I'm guessing that's way too mean haha. :D

Gotta work about some specifications though. How would we quantify any time in which one is "better"? PER? Impartial judge? And how often would we check to see if Noel is better than Davis? And for how long would this bet last?

Zeller was a 5 mainly who was more important than Oladipo many games but as a dedicated NBA 4, he could be utilizing his offense and athleticism better. He didn't show up some big games though, but atleast he was the 1st option a lot. I actually like Zeller and Bennett as potential PFs with Vuc. Just probably not as much as a SG/Wing like McLemore, Porter and 'Dipo.

This could be an incremental bet where each year, the loser has to wear the shirt to an event or game thru Noels rookie contract!!! Culminating into a big ending!

I, for one, am all for selecting the bonafide healthy player that we know can make it thru a 82 games season in Zeller over a player, Noel, who has never played more than two dozen games in a year without injury!

Awesome podcast between Chad Ford and Bill Simmons. They give a nice summary of all the draft analysis.

At around 20 minute mark, Ford defiantly says Magic will pick Noel if available. Also says there's a "good chance" we trade the pick if Noel is gone by #2.

Yeah i remember last year Miles Plumlee went from late 2nd rounder to first because he posted insane numbers athletically and from an exposion standpoint but anyone who watched him knows it never translated to the actual court

The difference being that Zeller was always thought of as a top prospect and people knew he was going to run well at the combine because that's what he did at UI.

Haha I like it. I can write out an initial draft of rules later if you want, and we can work it out from there.

So much love for a guy who averaged 13 points a game last year as a junior. If that doesn't scream MJ or Wade, I don't know what does? :)

They gush over the guy and talk about staring into his eyes and feeling his personality. It's ridiculous.

Spurs vs Heat. Teams are beginning to understand that it's just as important to have a cohesive TEAM as it is to have a trio of Superstars.

ie. Kawhi Leonard averaged 12 and 15 points a game in the 2 college seasons he had. His impact for the team goes beyond that.

The Charlotte Bobcats have been shopping Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Potential that he is moved on draft night. #NBADraft

That's hard to believe but if they are shopping him, than I'm trying to do everything I can to get this kid on my team because he is going to be special.

Trade for MKG and draft Otto Porter. 4 6'8" starters......now introducing your Orlando Hawks lol

What the hell is Jordan doing? I know he didn't have the most spectacular rookie season but he's so young. I just don't get this if true. Maybe they want Porter and feel MKG would be redundant... i don't know.

So Simmons and Ford are very concerned that McLemore is not mature enough to be successful in the NBA. Not like doing drugs immature, but just young, inexperienced, wide-eyed, unaware of what it takes to succeed, etc. They said he could bust if he goes to the wrong team. They didn't say what team was best, but isn't it Orlando? JV and Henny did a great job bringing our rookies into the fold this year. They preached patience and not putting the rookies in positions to fail. They built their confidence, got them a personal trainer that they practically lived with. They brought them along. Seems like a good fit.

Why do this and give up assets? We already have Harkless who had a better 2nd half of the season than MKG and was better in head to head matchups.

I was surprised they drafted a guy that is mainly known for high motor at #2. Thats too high for that type of player. Thats why I am in favor of drafting McLemore at #2 instead of Oladipo and even Noel with those injury concerns. Mclemore has basketball skill.

I don't think it's Orlando as much as it would be Charlotte, Sacramento, or Detroit. I agree with Ford and Simmons that he would have to be placed in the right situation where he has the right role models, coaches, and veterans surrounding him; I actually that's generally true of most rookies. We would actually be that one place that would be perfect for McLemore. I always believed that's why Vaughn is coaching here. He's not here to just coach a team to wins, but also teach these young guys the way of the league. Unlike a lot of coaches, I think Vaughn has the patience to do that.
