I've always liked Lin. Are we getting him? I've been on vacation for a while now and feel like I have no idea where the team is or what, if anything we need.

Even our PG rotation isn’t bad enough to warrant that.

Rivers can't be worse than Grant.

LoL
why Suns cut him ? Danger of winning over 18 games? I really hope nba teaks team away from Sarver.
like SVG said " question is when Robert Sarver will bring NBA team to a Phoneix"
Lin and Austin would be upgrades over bench scrubs like Iwundu,Simmons, Frazier

Austin. Rivers, at his best, is the kind of guy we could use. Could be a good story...I’m in! He gets a short-term opportunity to shine. Virtually no risk to us...if he acts like a punk, send him home. If he blossoms, win win!

Rivers makes sense. Cheap and an upgrade for Grant. Do it WeHam.

I'd be fine with either Rivers or Lin. Both are nothing special but would be at least an upgrade over Grant. I'd actually prefer going after either of them for cheap instead of overpaying for Fultz. Rivers or Lin would help at least some, and I'd see how the team does with them, and then decide on the big deals at the trade deadline depending on what the team's record is at that point.

He’s much better than Grant. I’d take Lin right now.

I will say this in regards to Vucevic and Ross both.
If the don't intend to resign them, they should trade them both and just deal with the fallout.
I'm hard pressed to believe that they would play out the season with both of them and then let them both walk, but we'll see.

Didn't Hammond say recently that the intention was to resign them? I remember something along those lines from a radio interview (something like 'treat them right and they'll want to come back, and we want them back'). Could just be bluster though.

I'm kind of in the same boat.
I think management will wait as long as possible to make the decision though.
we have 23 games until the end of January. If we go .500, we'll be sitting at 26/27 wins with 30 left to go and the playoff spots should be a bit more clear then.
The bad part of waiting, is if Ross tanks, so does his value.

Exactly my feeling. Matter of fact I was just saying something similar to a friend. If they haven't made the decision to tank by now, then its likely not going to happen imo. Losing both guys for nothing would be pretty big fail on WeHams part.
I'm all in on bringing both back and finally building a winning culture in Orlando. Hennigan already ruined our opportunity to tank properly so lets move forward instead of backwards again.

Because he always lights us up. River's is not a starter in the NBA but can be a backup wing .he can't be worse then grant.
Idk why our FO just sits around all day holding their hands. So many moves we could have made by now to upgrade our backup PG.
So damn frustrating

I hate watching Grant more, no fault in giving him a chance with a minimum contract

Re: Official Speculation Thread ‘18-19’: XX: Year of the Vuc
If the plan is to retain Vucevic and Ross this summer, then the Magic should ramp up their efforts to find a taker for Mozgov (or Fournier, but that would be more problematic for a variety of reasons) for an expiring contract, likely using a draft pick or two to grease the wheels.
Dumping Timo's entire contract without having to stretch him would give the Magic a good bit more flexibility in trying to add a piece in free agency beyond keeping Vucevic and Ross.
Plus, the Magic could likely help themselves out right now by getting a decent enough player on a expiring deal like a Jeremy Lin.

Re: Official Speculation Thread ‘18-19’: XX: Year of the Vuc
I would do Timo and the OKC pick for Lin, but don't know if Atlanta would take on that much salary for a pick of that quality.
Not sure if I'd swap the OKC pick for our 19 pick to get it done.
