AB needs to cook. Maybe just maybe in the exit interview they said if he can shoot better then KCP he and Suggs own the front court next year game 1.

It isn't hard to outshoot last years KCP.....

Goga will be gone, decline Moe's option, find someone to take kcp, dump Gary Harris. That should give us plenty of money to consolidate and add an impact guard.

Could mean Suggs getting traded

more likely KCP...I wouldn't be upset at all if Weltman sat AB down and said, "You ready for a bigger role?"...that highlight reel is impressive, but just flashes. IF he would just GRAB THE JOB, take the shots etc...this whole debate would be a lot more realistic. I'd really hate to watch him blow up elsewhere but I already hate watching him flatline most nights when we know he's got more in him.

Mose, get that kid angry and hungry.

KCP would not be butthurt about being traded, he's 31, he got the bag that DEN wouldn't give him and he gets to take it wherever he goes for the few more years he chooses to play. He's the last guy on the team that would take it personally. He's been around, got a ring, played with HOFers...this is business to him-he gets it. He also knows he didn't deliver this year-whether it was the system, the roster, or his own failings doesn't matter. Whatever the cause, there's no great reason for him to believe that "I've just got to work harder" or some other Tony Robbins/Pat Riley/rookie BS.

IF you'll take the shots...btw, I agree 100%. I'm actually not down on AB - I just wish he was hungrier for it. Please don't cover him by saying "Mose told him to hand it off and take a backseat for the first 80 games" and that that beautiful reel could have been every night if we'd just allow him.

I want to see that kid breathing fire every time he's on the court.

Worst shooting team in the NBA. Solution? A Suggs and Black backcourt. Ok.

On 1.4 attempts… stating 40% on 1.4 3PA makes you not a serious poster therefore delulu land.

The first season was a 100% take a backseat.

Last season... his confidence rose and fell with different competition. Bet.... when the guy was on.... we were a totally different team.... and that's what makes me want to wait and see what he is in the future. Just need more time and confidence to turn that 20-25 games of success into 45+ games of succeeding. And based on the contract situation... the AB/Suggs backcourt was part of the future plans. AB's next contract won't kick in till KCP is gone.

Personally... if KCP is still here... a more mature offense with returning suggs warrants a solid look. Suggs especially for all of his defense was becoming that volume 3 point shooter we all wanted. A ball movement heavy line up will help everyone... Including KCP. And if KCP shoots anything like he did at the end of the season with a higher volume.... he will be an impact for the next 2 seasons. Shoot... we might end up resigning him on a cap friendly deal as he moves to the bench and AB ascends. That would be my wish.

But... love me some COLE.... but i would be welcome to shopping him for another playmaking point guard. Not even gonna lie.... outside of the others that we've all discussed in depth... a swap of cole and lonzo ball.... i would do.

I'm not following...where does this "ball movement heavy line up" come from if KCP, Suggs, and AB are still here?

Ball movement...the ball sticks in the hands of 2 particular individuals... and the others are found watching half the time until the one moment that the ball gets randomly swung to them... and they either aren't ready and pass it up... or hastefully chuck it up. lol

I'm happy they paolo and franz are that talented... offensively... but they should share the ball more to get everyone else involved and engaged. Like... if Wendell gets the switch and has pg on him... and paolo has the center.... yes... paolo... i know you can do your thing.... but make the simpler play and give wendell the chance and confidence to make something happen too. And Naturally.... the best scoring individuals will be on the receiving end of many plays... without forcing another iso.

In all honesty i feel as though players saw a step back because they became so lax on offense cuz they don't expect the ball... and when they do....they don't perform. just my take on what i saw this season.

gotcha...I misunderstood. You're talking a style of play, not particular personnel.

LOL. The most meaningless games in the whole season, probably less defense played than in preseason, as teams actively try to lose games and other just rest for PO :D
You’ll remember „Rookie of the (last) month RJ Hampton“?
„Omg he played so good the last games of regular season, he’s a future Star!“
