Its not only ATL hut DET reloading as well.

Feels like they upgraded Beasley but not a huge upgrade. Beasley is really not good at decision making…

Did they upgrade Dennis with Levert?
Did they upgrade Beasley with Duncan?

Plus they got Ivey back

I think LeVert is better than Schroder, but Beasley was awesome for them last year.

He *made* 319 threes by himself.

Orlando, Atlanta, and Detroit are coming.

… Cavs are still around as well. People got down on them when they lost to Pacers “surprisingly” and then we realized the Pacers weren’t so bad.

Knicks were built to challenge the Celtics last season. The 6'7/6'9 thin forwards of BOS was supposed yo be neutralized by NYs 6'7 defensive stoppers. Plus they know KAT isnone of the best offensive bigma in the league.

Without BOS and the reigning ECF and CLE built around 2 small offensivebguards, its the NYK still standing from last season. Thats why i think they are the faves

Beasley had a career year and was going to cash in...Duncan is a better player. Good move for DET.

If I can count, Gilgeous-Alexander's new contract will average 71.25M a year. I guess he will be making 90M in his final year, which he can opt out of.

Would he opt out of 90M :o Probably.

He implied it was nervousness with his child's birth. There might have been more on that story, which would be very personal then.

The current Skuttlebutt is that the Blazers will sign him to a vet-min deal so that trusted Portland doctors can do his rehab. Then he would get released when healthy.
It is intersting if true.

I'd feel sorry for Dame if he wasn't a mega millionaire, at the same time. Wow. Does this mean he doesn't have athletic access to rehab. Isn't that potentially seen as "cruel and unusual punishment"?

I wonder if the team signed Dame to the vet minimum just so he has access to the team doctors, he would be effective to have around the trade deadline.

Oh man, F**K AI...got me

I've seen those videos before (Angel Reese and others) and they are unbelievably well done...I consciously haven't clicked on them, because I'm trying to "clean up" my algorithms and try to be more productive with my time. It DID kind of seem in character with him, if extreme...that's dangerous stuff.

I know he's out...I was thinking cheap investment in a killer who mustn't be underestimated and could be back on the floor powered by spite.

First time I saw it got me although something felt off. Then i rewatched it and noticed that there was no smooth transition from point to point, then saw the handle that posted the video and realized it’s an AI content account. It’s scary how good it’s getting, telling the difference is getting more and more difficult. There is going to have to be some legislation to force them to point out it’s fake or altered content.

Question from the peanut gallery who isn't used to this mega million lottery level contracts and all the aprons.

OKC looks great because of rookie contracts, but how are they going to afford to keep a team around? Will this system end up rewarding the "best player on the team" while leading to a substantial decrease in pay for everyone else?

They're mostly fine until 27-28, and they may have cashed in 3 titles by then.

Shot term the future so bright they need shades.

Looking at this as constructively as possible. At what point will we see teams shed salaries across the board? What will end up being the actual outcome vs the desired? Are these things mutually exclusive?

Example : I think we are good on a similar timeline. No idea what the results will be.

The second apron and repeater tax are so penal that you will only see teams play around up there for just a couple of seasons consecutively at most.

OKC will move on from Hartenstein at the very first opportunity they get among other things.

Return to Orlando Magic
