I blame our fans for making fun of Scottie preseason. Now Paolo is shooting like Barnes was lol

Pick one.
I’ll go with 4) You are overreacting 3 games into the season.
Not an option. Disqualified.

Just aimless at times, like that AB turnover when he attempts some over the shoulder behind the back..... Like what is that? Bane Dribbling off his foot, Paolo trying to thread needles but failing....everybody is uncomfortable, never seen it so hard for Bane to get a clear look.... And Tyus Jones...... Man.... OK it's still early but tyus Jones is giving me Gary harris vibes.... 3 games in the books already and 2 0 point performances.... It's going to take a while to clean this up

Paolo is playing really poorly and Bane's random weird turnovers and bad defense have not helped.
Small sample but even just monitoring the +/- of 2 man lineups and Jones is doing terribly with everyone except TDS and AB. Paolo only has a + with Suggs, TDS, Goga and AB.
I feel like Franz and Paolo represent 2 entirely different teams and styles at the moment. Franz excels in faster more free flowing offense and Paolo prefers to walk it down and iso and burn up the clock. Both can be effective at the right time, and getting both to coexist on the court at the same time should be what gives us the edge and versatility. Suggs seems to be the key to unlocking that, IMO. Bane should be that guy and I think he’ll be that guy but he’s been hit and miss to start. AB wants to be that guy and he’s in the mix but too inconsistent right now.

What you don’t want is to be 30 games in and then we’re trying to make it better. That’s not a good sign.
But truth is, it’s only 3 games in and they have to learn each other. I think we just expected them to click right to away and run through the first 3 games. Coach did say that they have to learn to handle expectations, and one of them is expecting a better offense.
This is all well and good but the reality is every team is pretty much in the exact same situation of having new players, coaching staff, plays, etc. It’s not like we are the only team.
And they are struggling too.

To be fair, some of those teams are struggling as well.
Mavs 1-2
Rockets 0-2
Hawks about to be 1-2
At least they lost to good teams, we lost to an injured Hawks team, a very beatable Bulls team, and barely beat a Heat team (if Spo played Ware more at center we'd lost that one too).

Mosley is a goner, absolutely no way he survives this. Malone will be here before deadline if this keeps up.

Yeah Chicago and Atlanta at home isnt @ OKC and Detroit.
It’s also more about HOW they are losing, rather than the W/L column.

Last year one of the options would’ve been:
5) not having a PG like Tyus Jones to run the offense
Though for the record I think Suggs is the key. I’m convinced he unlocks everything good about this team, so put me down for #3

3/24 from 3 in the modern NBA is not going to help Moselys case for keeping his job.

Detroit lost to the Bulls.
And Houston lost their home opener to Detroit.

I think it's hard to get in a rhythm when Paolo wants to play iso ball every time he touches the ball. I counted at least 4 possessions in the 4th quarter where Franz never left the corner and Paolo went 1 against the Bulls and missed every mid-range shot.Darth Magic wrote:KillMonger wrote:Early, still early but man I thought there would be more of a system in place...... Which is exactly what i've been complaining about since he said it again during training camp. The team has no rhythm offensively because they keep having to figure out the offense each time instead of running plays that they practice until it becomes second nature. It makes me SICK!

I think the optimist says 3
I think the pessimist says 2
I think the non homer says 1

Meanwhile, Cedric Coward, Memphis rookie taken with our pick (plus another of our picks in a trade), comes off the bench and plays better than Bane. Gotta love being a magic fan.

Can we start with throwing a ton of cash on a good GM and letting him decide what to do with the coach situation?
