I think it's the opposite, it's mutiny. The players have abandoned Dwight. Dwight's getting his stats and points, but the guys have given up on him.

The Magic hadn't been held under 70 points in a game since 2005 before last Monday. Now they've been held under 70 three times in 8 days.

THis is almost comical.

It seems obvious that something has upset the applecart in the locker-room. Either a deal has been tentatively agreed to trade Dwight (but they're waiting until after the all-star game to finish it), or otherwise the rest of the team us just sick of being slighted in the media by Howard every couple of days.

Stan sending a jab at Dwight saying Stan fed the ball to Dwight, like they do in Miami with Lebron and LA with Kobe, but it didn't work.

you know dwight is not playing good when elton brand blocks 2 shots in a row without barely jumping off the ground. I say trade him sooner rather than later. Although I would like to tank, this arena and city needs a playoff team. Lets hope some major things go down and teams get desperate and go all out for howard.

I'm really not confident in our ability to beat the Wizards Wednesday.

oh if howard is going keep anderson, he looks like the only good piece that can actually take his game to another level. (unless he is traded for blake)

Collins saying Orlando lost because they were without Nelson. Said he's the 'guts' of the Magic.

He must not be in 2012.

It's great that he wants to attack the rim, but what else does he do besides look to score? We've already got a bunch of guys who's primary skill is scoring, and it's made for a disjointed and recently ugly offense. Wafer's just one more variation of that. (Also, I just looked on 82games.com, and Jason Richardson actually attempts more shots at the rim as a % of total FGA than Wafer does)

We need guys out there who can influence games in other ways. I'm more down with the "free Earl" movement than Wafer, because when Earl is hustling and working hard he can make a difference without taking any shots. Q is on our roster for similar reasons - he's a much, much better defender than Wafer, he's a decent rebounder for a 6'5 guy. He doesn't look to shoot much.

On a really good team, neither Q nor Von would be getting more than garbage minutes. As it is, it doesn't really bother me which guy Stan chooses to go with (and based on tonight's rotations, Q was backing up Hedo while Von backed up JJ, which makes sense because Von lacks the strength to guard SFs), I'm just amazed that we have reached a point where people are desperate for Von Wafer to get into a game. And not just him, it's Harper or Liggins, too. I mean, we know what Stan is like - he is hell bent on winning, all the time. If he really thought that Von Wafer would answer our problems, Von Wafer would be getting regular minutes.

We can agree to disagree i guess....I can't do anything about the players we have...we are in this boat together....i am just sick and tired of the same ole same ole......We don't have a Dynamic SG but to me Wafer does some of the things we need....I've never said i wanted him to start or anything i just think he should at least be getting the same if not more minutes than Q who has not proven anything to me....don't know what he has done to earn that time...maybe it's because we're thin at the SF...IDK

Gosh... unless SVG wants to leave.. letting him go would be so stupid. At this point, I'd rather keep Stan than Dwight.

Everyone wants to blame someone. I understand that. Fact is this team just isn't talented enough to score. Just look at the roster and tell me what you should expect from them in any given game.

Dwight 20 points
Hedo 12 points
Duhon 4
Anderson 16
Baby 7
Jrich 10 points
JJ 11 points
Qrich 3 points

total 83 points.

That if everyone plays to there average. We don't have any offense. This team was built with the idea that Jameer and Richardson would be above 15 ppg guys. We need more scoring now.
Those averages come when Anderson was scoring 20 a game. Since scoring 30 against the Knicks Anderson is averaging 14 ppg. It doesn't matter what is going on. You need guys that can score in this league. We just don't have enough of them.

When you look at our roster who can you expect bigger offensive numbers from?

As a fan of Cal (college hoops) I have followed Anderson since his days there, and he is a solid complimentary piece (best served as a third option). Whether via trade or the draft this team seriously needs an upgrade at the 2 guard spot and gets someone who is not only athletic but can actually create his own shot (I know novel concept). A point guard that's not under 6 ft tall would help also.

It's going to be same ole same ole until Dwight's inevitable departure. I'd hazard a guess that once he is gone, we will see a lot more of our players trying to get to the hoop. We all complain about it not happening enough, but the fact is that it's difficult to attack the basket when Dwight is never more than a footstep out of the paint, because the opposing center can easily help off him to challenge your layup/dunk.

Here are some good, old-fashioned, vomit inducing numbers. Starting with the second half of that horrific Boston game, the following is a selection of some of our points totals by quarter:

10
10
16
17
17
8
15
18
15
17
17
18
15
9

The only game in which we managed to top 20 in every quarter was @Indiana. We've totaled under 40
in 7 of our last 11 halves, including two sub-30 halves.

Add three parts imploding team, two parts lockoutball, one part GM in over his head and voila!
