I don't know why Brooklyn is **** themselves with these Joe Johnson (and others) rumors. Maybe they don't want Dwight anymore? Or they know no one will help them get Dwight.

That or theyre letting dwill walk. If the Nets decide to go in another direction almost every team in the league would be at Henny's doorstep for Howard.

thing is the nets assests are so bad that their best offer could easily be trumped by a team willing to rent him for just a season. so we really have no reason to trade him to the nets unless we want to accomodate dwight, which doesn't need to happen.

This was also my line of thinking.

Unless we're talking about an asset with franchise potential, do not trade dwight, and most certainly not to the nets.

There isn't ANYTHING we could get back from them that would be worth creating another super-team in the east. The nets will take themselves out of the running, when the dust settles there won't be many teams capable of signing dwight that are "big market", and if he walks we'll have cap to sign a big FA.

Either the Lakers,GSW,Houston offers would be better than what the Nets have to offer, you know Houston would give up the most because they are desperate for a franchise player and feel Courtney Lee and Hakeem can convince him to stay. If we could dump JRich/Doodie/Dwight for picks young players Lowry and Martins expiring I would be happy maybe even Hedo if they would take him also.

Hedo's contract can be bought out next year. I say keep him for cap room in 2013. If this team goes on a youth movement, having a SF that can pass can help the younger players development for one year.

But, JRich and Duhons contracts have to go.
