Wimbush and Mack are going to have an open competition for the starting QB role but Wimbush is going to win out. Wimbush has more talent around him here at UCF than at Notre Dame. I would be shocked if Mack beat out Wimbush. Wimbush wouldn't be coming here as a graduate transfer if he wasn't going to start.

Really ugly start to the game. Dawkins went out early with two fouls, one of which was ridiculous (called for kicking his leg out on a jumpshot when he was curling around a screen and fading away, i.e. impossible not to have your legs somewhat out). Wichita State really dominated the rest of the first half. UCF managed to crawl back in the 2nd half and get to within 1 with a few minutes left, but Wichita State kept making some really tough shots. They just looked like they were playing with a different motor and we were somewhat dragging. Also felt like Wichita State was getting most of the beneficial calls.

The difference in the game was really rebounding. I don't understand why UCF can't rebound. I mean I somewhat get why offensive rebounds aren't our thing, because Tacko being slow means having to get back early instead of trying to crash the boards. But defensively I just don't get it.

Wichita State is like 77-5 in that arena, so it's a really tough place to win, but we should've beaten them. If UCF wants to make the Tournament they have to win those games. Disappointing loss.

Ucf beats Tulsa at home.

It's never pretty with this team.

Ucf overcame a 15 point first half deficit

Ucf leads all D-1 schools in FT attempts.

Ucf is ranked 331st in FT %

Ouch.

Defeated Tulane handily last night. First game I can think of this season where they were expected to win easily and did just that, jumping out to an early lead and keeping it the entire game. Tacko didn't play well but Aubrey continues to make strides each game. I think we're seeing that rust from not playing for a few years wearing off, lol. Team always plays better when BJ asserts himself offensively early, hope he continues to do that.

BIG game this Sunday @ Memphis @ 4pm.

The Knights @Memphius is interesting as they are coming off a road game (loss) to Temple on Friday. This is about as close to a BtB as one gets in NCAAB. The Knights should be fresh and the Tigers should be winded.

It is weird for the road-Knights to be favored against Memphis.

Ucf got stomped at Memphis.

They were a step slow all night, crushed on the boards, and succumbed to significant ball pressure from Memphis.

Out coached and out played in every facet of the game.

Horrible performance.

Yea it was brutal to watch. I did feel like Memphis got away with a lot of overaggressive defense, perks of playing at home I suppose. Memphis definitely brought the energy. Aubrey was invisible the entire game, I was very surprised to see him struggle so much in that game.

Home court advantage is a big deal in college basketball. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Memphis visits us in a few weeks.

Memphis just lost by 16 at Tulsa that's not a tough place to get a road win
Wichita State has lost 3 of their last 4 games and they barely beat SMU at home in their last game

Just shows that Memphis and Wichita State really got up for playing UCF because of our success in football.

So Bill Connelly made some adjustments to his S&P Formula and it's hot garbage now. But it's fun to have him try and defend it.

The Knights is still #43 in NET, and thus, should reasonably bee in an at-large range right now.

UCF game vs Houston was bad, too many missed free throws, bad executions on offense.

Some how we’re still being viewed as a team to make the tourney.

They had us in the NCAA tournament before we played at Wichita State but than we lost at Wichita State and at Memphis it seemed we were out. I don't see how that drops us, playing conference opponents on the road is much harder than facing them on your home court. Losing at home to Houston definetly has no damage. Perhaps they don't understand with the success of our football program, We are going to get our opponents very best shot when they play us.

It's doubtful Ucf even makes the tournament looking at the remaining schedule.

It was a good win today at smu, but they were missing their best player.

Ucf played better today, Dawkins had a nice game, but this team just does not have enough decent players.

Hoping for a drastic turnaround in player development.
