Stop the complaining, put down the pitchforks, and douse the torches. Anthony is going to be just fine for us and I think he will actually fit really well once Evan is moved. This solidifies our backcourt of the future, time to get used to Cole.

He was the worst top college guy by a large margin.

The worst part is I never even considered this pick remotely a possibility. Besides the poor shooting, he seemed like he'd be the opposite of someone Weltman would target. I could be horribly wrong on him, but I watched a lot of him in college && I'm just not sold.

I’m not even mad. This team has killed my spirit so badly that the fact that they didn’t draft a C/PF is a relief to me.

I can't get on board with the Buls, Cavs or Suns picks... They are the only reasons Vassell, Haliburton and Nesmith got close to us.
But at their position they picked who they wanted, magic had to pick what was left

Cole Anthony is frustrated but determined to show he’s an elite player
Wed Nov 18, 2020
Cole Anthony is frustrated. The son of former NBA player Greg Anthony was the nation’s top high school point guard in the class of 2019. He was projected to be a top-five pick in this NBA draft before beginning his lone season at North Carolina a year ago. But things didn’t go as planned at UNC: He suffered a partially torn meniscus in his right knee amid team struggles.

Wonder where Terry goes now. You know.. the player with a skill set that will probably translate.

Horrible, horrible, horrible.

We have to be on the phone trying to make some kind of deal.

How does Anthony fit into this roster? Backup PG? Fultz running mate? I don’t see it. It just doesn’t work unless everything we saw with our own eyes is false.

I actually like the cole Anthony pick. He had the most upside out of anyone. He automatically becomes our backup pg. Give him a couple of years at that and who ever is better between Anthony and fultz, keep them and trade the other.

Cole Anthony it is then... Have to say that he was higher than this on boards a year ago, so I'm guessing there's at least some potential there. NBA bloodlines, too. That's always a plus, especially when the family member wasn't a star, it seems to me.

Anyway, for now I don't see any reason not to be optimistic. At least this means less Augustin.

But yeah, fire WeHam and especially Martins, too (everything went to crap when he started to become really visible it feels like).

I'd rather the Magic traded AG for number 16 or 17, and gotten Hampton or Poku to round out this reset.

The upside is that he was a top talent going into college. The problem is that he underperformed. I can get behind this pick.
