This is the 6th time in his career he's gone over 30 points on good efficiency.

I would make a healthy wager that neither Black nor Jett will score 30 points six times in their first five seasons. Maybe not in their entire careers.

AB's free throw rate pretty much guarantees he'll hit the 30-point game mark sooner than later.

I mean they're both kind of missing their chance to be shot chuckers on a bad team like Cole was, they are role players on a good team. Also Cole didn't score 30 until he was 21, AB is still 20. If you shoot a lot you are going to have days where more go in.

I get your point, but it also doesn't say much IMO. We know Jett stinks, AB has a chance to be good. 23 points on the Thunder as a 20 year old makes me think he could score 30 as a primary option on a 22 win team.

I think mentality has a lot to do with it too.

Cole is a guy who is willing to be very selfish, which you kind of have to be in order to have multiple big explosion scoring games.

What I said wasn't overly complimentary of Cole either. His confidence doesn't really match his talent. But every now and then, once every 15-20 games or so, he's capable of a dominant performance.

And, allegedly, a good part of next season. Won't be back until 2026.

It didn't look that bad on the replay but it did look awkward. The Wagners definitely needed to take the summer off from competitive basketball but they didn't so now it's coming back to bite them.

Playing at the Olympics had nothing to do with this. Zero.

We will never know...

But the Nostradamus in me say probably not. I dunno but the game seems slower with him around and that was a helter skelker pace in the 4th

Come on now. Magic exploited their lack of size and WCJ would have helped.

Exploited their lack of size lol? Ok we're down, Paolo, Franz, and Moe. JI played 17 mins, WCJr only 13 mins. What size advantage did we have other than Goga? Please tell me. We won with Coach Mose and then Cole, Goga, Black, KCP, TDS, Joseph, Queen, Jett heart and hustle.

Just to nitpick and correct me if im wrong

We had 1 7 footer against their 6'9 Center
We had 2 6'7/8 wings against their 2 6'5 wings
We had 2 6'3 PGs against their 6'1 and 6'3 guards

Box score thoughts:

Orlando won the FG% battle and won the game.

It is amazing that that is true as this was (another) horrible 3-point shooting night.

In a game that had 69 FTAs, it was that the Magic made 7 FGs more than the Heat (and 2 more three balls) why the Magic won.
That said, the Magic's FGA and FGMs rates were brilliant. That 24-27 (88.9%).

And no box-score thought would be complete without this: 37-8.
Orlando outscored their opponent by 29 points in the 4th quarter. :o :o :o

The Magic was already the lead leader in 4th-quarter scoring differential. Popping a plus-29 +/- on that. WOW.

All has been already written and said. I'll just add it's one of the greatest Magic regular season games I've ever watched. Devastated by Mo's injury and proud of the team at the same time.

Just one question which maybe someone will be able to reply to. Why the hell is there so many casuals all over the net claiming this was a rigged game and Heat lose on purpose to satisfy some gambler/-s? Is there a new tinfoil hat theory that I missed or what?

Because its like some movie-ish where a team didnt play its best 3 guys, injured thwir 4th, ejected their 5th and al of a sudden a redmeption arc of a prodigal son digging deep and carrying the team with some.moves i swear i saw kobe/mj/tmac does in their prime.

Nevermind the fact that we got 5 technicals, they got 38 fts conpared to a pathetic 20(??) On us.

MIA fans just cant accept that fact that especially if you read yhwir GT on their board. They were all gloating, looking at the next game, proclaiming its a championship team with Jimmy and Herrondeserves the MVP accolades, etc etc
