I cant believe the people bashing Henny. He knows what is going on. Orlando is a mess and players probably dont want to deal with this circus. Nelson is a face the casual fans can cheer for as this team faces an obvious reconstruction. That adds to his value, we are not players in free agency next summer. Dwight does not want to be here and never was going to recruit people to come. He and his team will kill the Houston deal value, with all the comments about running to Dallas. He has screwed the Magic out of the chance to do 1 deal that blows this entire team up.

Henny has a new team that can draft and thier skills will be tested in this mess. I am giving him at least 3 years to clear up the diaster Otis left behind.

what's there to fill in? Our owner's heart is in the right place but gave his gm a blank check to run with. The gm was an idiot. The owner's children and in-laws are idiots as well. Players have been pampered all their lives and ownership refuses to comply with how the game is played. There.

Yup. I never believed that Houston would even consider giving up DMo unless Dwight came packaged with an extension. But that doesn't matter because I would happily take KMart, Lamb and Toronto's pick for Dwight and JRich. I we get White, Jones or another Houston pick then that is just gravy.

I have a feeling Houston's deal has been crap all along...that's why we have been pushed to begging DH to stay.

i know all that stuff....i just want to know the things they are not telling us....the real reason why this blew up....i hear rumors and stuff....but it can't be the ridiculous story about Dwight wanting to use the Jet for himself and other Diva like complaints.......it's got to be something more that cause Dwight to hate Orlando.....

i wouldn't beg him for nothing, he signed the opt in, now the magic need to get something out of it

SVG threw him under the bus and the magic didn't fire him immediately as he deserved.

Agree. We're only seeing the tip of the iceberg.

Not sure if it was the tipping point, but I'm sure that SVG issue was a big factor. But the request for a trade came MUCH earlier (months) than that.

I think it depends on what you mean by crap. I believe Hennigan would be excited about the idea of building a team from scratch with high draft picks, a lot of cap room and promising young players. At the same time, I believe that our owner doesn't believe he will still be alive when such a team matures to the point of being relevant, let alone competing for a title.

Is Hennigan or RDV the one who felt uninspired by the Houston offer (whatever it may have been)?

D12 asked for a trade months before that. So things went downhill way before then.

They didn't have a plan, because if you look at what they had been doing keeping Howard wasn't the plan. this meeting has Devos written all over it. If Devos didn't want to go to rebuild they shouldn't of hired Henny, The only process he has been around is the rebuild process

Know way I give that ass hole what he wants. Let him walk. I want him to lose money and not get to go to the team he wants. Cap space is better than all the offers. If he is medically able to play. Then fine him every game he doesn't play.

Most offers could probably give us more cap room. Plus, it's not what Dwight wants, it's what's best for the franchise. What's best is to trade him. Sure, he's a punk and so is his agent. But if that's what he wants, there's nothing we can do. Rebuild sooner rather than later.
