Don't they like Wiggins a lot over there?

He is still owed over $90 million over the next 3 years. That's still a negative value asset.

That's what they tell everyone. I really doubt it is true. They aren't giving us that pick and Wiggins for Vucevic though. The pick is just too valuable and Vucevic probably isn't any more attractive than is Wiggins at this point.

We will stand pat, I do think that we need to make deals for Gordon and Fournier. They won't resign and have some value. With the injuries to Fultz and Isaac, and moving those 2 will mean we will lose a lot of games but have a reload instead of full rebuild. I also think we need to move Birch in one of those deals to free up room for Bamba, we have to see what we have in him before we decide on his contract in the summer. That's my opinion

At this point, what "asset" would an opponent team want from the Magic?

Remember when posters on here were saying LaVine isn’t an upgrade over Fournier?

Good times..

Dude jacks up shots like Evan, plays worse defense than Evan, passes as bad as Evan, and has a better handle than Evan.

I don't think upgrade is the term I would use. I would use Sidegrade.

Credit where it’s due...when he wants to, Lavine is a blur off the dribble. I just don’t like his apparent bbiq, feel bad saying but...

Well, there was not many of them . I always thought Lavine is player that flys under a radar because his teams suck because to this date Lavine never played with actual point guard. All those Satoransky, Wiggins at PG, Cobi White at PG , Kriss Dunn experiments were nothing else but slap in a face.

He is pretty much Devin Booker- East. And we saw what happends when you pair Booker with elite PG for once.

How about this trade:
Golden State Warriors: Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre
Orlando Magic: Evan Fournier and Aaron Gordon

We get rid of Evan's expiring contract and get someone with a longer value.

A lot of Magicians wanted AG for Oubre. So I included that in the deal

Other than trading Vuc, maybe Ross, we can't even move anybody due injuries.
This is one of most pathetic seasons since 2013

you say that 1 - like Wiggins has value, and 2- that trading expiring for that monster contract is a good thing

Aminu and Birch for Dinwiddie. Birch would be a great screen setter in Brooklyn. It would save us around 1m this year that we could use to sign a couple G leaguers.

Dinwiddie could help replace Evan next season.

Vuc and Fournier for Nurkic and McCollum. Cj could sit out a year and get his foot right. Nurkic could go to Brooklyn for Dinwiddie.

Send Ross to Boston for Tpe and 2 first round picks.

I don't think we need to trade Vuc, but...(assuming GSW not shopping MIN pick anymore due to Wiseman)

To NOLA...Vuc, Evan, Aminu
From NOLA...Adams, Lonzo, Naw, Reddick

Ball was going to be Jason Kidd 2.0. Allegedly, NOLA doesn't play at the pace that suits his generational court vision. Vuc would be great with his floor spreading and defensive rebounding next to Zion and Ingram. Fournier adds shooting and size at SG. ORL gets their new backcourt (along with Fultz and Cole), hopefully, can sign Ball to a reasonable deal AND get the star he was supposed to be in a high-speed offense with Fultz. Trading Vuc would MAKE us re-do our offensive game plan. Reddick could probably be moved to BRK or PHI for Shamet or Paul Reed or 2rp or something (assuming he doesn't want to stay) with Dinwiddie's deal as the ballast (or TPE?). NAW is our great hope for an expanded role. Adams is a placeholder and culture guy without real bball skills but would set monster picks for all of our lightning fast wings and maybe get through to Bamba on the subtleties of hoops and life.

* Obviously, our high frp would be plugged in too. Possibly AG gets us another and maybe a prospect. I like AG into BOS TPE for Nesmith and a (late first) pick. BOS would probably want us to take back expiring salary to minimize their tax hit.

Adams/Bamba/Birch
Isaac/Okeke
Nesmith/TRoss
Fultz/NAW/Shamet
Ball/Anthony/MCW

Adams is really the mismatched piece, in terms of pacing and spacing, but he's only one more year and could probably be shipped out as an expiring at some point if we had a better long-term option. Certainly a different look.
